I don't know. I didn't see a whole lot that I've not already seen. And I always hated how if you had the puck in the corner and carried it toward the slot your teammate would skate toward you instead of remaining on the other goal post for a possible one timer.

I guess that's the point of net prescence traits though, maybe Burrows was trying to screen or get in front of the goalie? I don't know. Either way, it sounds great. I'd like so see some other demonstrations that show it better though.

The thing I'm most interested in is the Be A GM stuff. I'm hoping that there's more information than we've already had.

Don't worry, there is more Be a GM news coming July 20th - we'll probably hear than of EA telling us more additions to the mode - like suspensions and mid-season contract extensions [which were confirmed by Grame on IGN] Check NHL 12's Hockey Whiteboard for all the dates

Nothing. I'm sure it will still be there. They said that the traits are not something that makes the players do their assigned "trait" every time. In other words Holmstrom won't ALWAYS be in front of the net, but its what he will most likely do.

Yep, I'm ready now for some good news about GM mode too, Gagnon.

I've got my fingers crossed for us to hear about some nice surprises. Like maybe....despite hearing no one saw it but, custom season length is in. Custom conference/division. So in season two of GM mode, we can mimic the coming division changes. Goal/Hockey News mag covers. A guy can dream can't he?

Its nice to see that someone else noticed as well. To me that was an example of bad ai on the defense. I don't get how burrows is just allowed to be that free in the crease area

Hahahaha!!! It's almost comical how people STILL don't understand that EA does these videos playing on ARCADE at the EASY level!!! Just take the video for what it was trying to show, that the traits made the Sedins and Burrows perform and do things more like they do in real life. From that stand point, I liked what I saw.

Yeah this looked like a typical cycle that's been in the games.. I want to see D AI improvement..

First and foremost let me begin by saying I love the NHL and I am a season ticket holder for my local team. In no way am I a troll.

My question to you speels, is how do you know EA plays on ARCADE and EASY? Do you have insider information or is it common knowledge? It seems like a major assumption on your part.

If you listen in to Rammer's interviews and read all of the reviews from people who have been at community days and whatnot they state that the game is played on a level so that all the new stuff can be shown happening quite often.

And I would like to re-pose this question to you. How does eveerybody else know that this is NOT played on Easy Arcade?

I just get tired of people jumping to conclusions based on an 18 second video and I'm sorry, but if you are already finding stuff wrong in these videos then I am pretty sure that you are not (not speaking directly to you so please don't be offended

)going to enjoy the game when you actually get it.

As for this video showing the just "cycling" that has been in the game, I have logged many, many hours of NHL and have yet to see this style of cycling, however, if someone can recreate it on any other NHL game for the PS3 then I will gladly admit that EA didn't add something to this game.

Good post imo, Speels.

Your right about the game being ramped up in order to better show some of the additions. I think I also remember Rammer saying this. This kinda thing is done I believe each and every year. I have to admit, that sometimes my passion for the game makes me get overly nervous about what I see at times myself.

But anyway, ya I agree...passing judgement on the game over some of these hype videos, most likely isn't a good idea.
