NCAA Football 12 News Post

With so many artistic readers here at OS, creating uniforms and logos, why not get your high school team and/or some others into NCAA Football 12, before it hits store shelves on July 12th. Submit and show them off here! Kotaku's Owen Good has a detailed article, explaining how you can get it done.

Quote:
NCAA Football 12 isn't out for another 10 days, but there's something you can do in the meantime—with the new version of the game, even—that will add to your experience, and others' too, when it arrives.

You can create your high school's uniforms, using TeamBuilder, the web application for NCAA Football now in its third year. The new version supporting NCAA 12 went live on Thursday.
  • Home jersey (with primary helmet and pants)
  • Away jersey (with primary helmet and pants)
  • Stadium name, field logo, 20-yard line graphics, and end zone text. (With certain exceptions, all teams will play at one of three generic high school fields in the game).
Working from a single good logo, you could create a respectable uniform set suitable for RTG import in about 30 minutes. If you don't know what your high school's threads look like in present day, give it your best shot. Go for a classic look. (This isn't Elkin High's actual design, but one based off what I remember as a kid and later as a student there.)

Now, do that, and flag it RTG in the team name (which is fully editable within the game after you import it) and everyone will know this is meant for use in the new high school year of the singleplayer sim.

yo butcherblack, it looks like you went with the college style numbers when the photos you posted look like the standard style. don't know if that was on purpose or not, just an observation.

Hey guys.

I coach Track and field at the high school level and my roommate coaches football at same school.

I decided, since I have the summer off right now and just too much damn time on my hands, I am going to recreate the 11 schools in our conference and put em in the game for road to glory (since it lets us play our whole senior year now).

I just sat down with him and wrote down which offense and defense each team runs, as well as how good that team is overall (from one to six stars)

The question is, roster wise, does it matter what roster I give each team or will it be randomized when I start RTG?

Only primary helmet, home and away jersey, and primary pants will be imported

I am not sure but I think playbooks in HS season are based off your player's tendency

I was hoping to get the teams to run the same PBs they use in real life when I play against them...

not a big deal, just wondering

I cant even remember what plays teams ran in HS. But I do know that almost all the teams my HS Team conference, runs the ball 65% of the time. So I was hoping to at least set up Pass/Run Ratio.
I want to run 3-4 for my OLB,, but I am not sure if I can set it up

Disclaimer: It really annoys me that my HS went to the BFBS (Black for Black's Sake) school of uniform changes. However, seeing as I'm a year away from my 10 year reunion and can't find a photo from my senior year, I went with the team's new threads.

The school's logo is pretty darn sweet though.
Enjoy the Xenia HS Buccaneers from Ohio

Rather than starting a new thread, I figured I'd ask this here:

Does anyone know if the 7-12 game schedule INCLUDES the playoffs, or if the playoffs are separate?

Also, if the playoffs are separate, do you end up repeating matchups against the same teams you played during the season? Can you import more teams, or do you play against generic teams like before?

If there are four rounds in the state playoffs again, then that is at least 16 teams for the playoff system, which seems like four more than all the teams you could play during a season.

Thanks!

Yeah you are right. I thought the standard number on the website looked wack. I made the change and they look right now. Good lookin' out.

I know. If I don't, it won't show up on the white jerseys.

How do you guys get the team name to read across the chest. All I can put there are logos.

Never mind I found it. To bad my highschool name doesn't fit in the space provided so I had to improvise...

I don't know how to put the picture up here, but I guess you guys can download the Duncanville Panthers once the game comes out. My username is Massive_13... I even threw names from the team on them.
