my guess is probably at some point down the road, but it won't be a priority since I'm sure both show up fine in the game

i noticed that my teams from TB '11 are available for use as is without taking them into TB '12.

This is normal, you could use TB10 teams in TB11, they just wouldn't have any of the many updates added to TB11. And by many updates, I mean the text across the front of the jersey.

custom stadium sounds is an improvement, but other than that there's nothing

I found the answer.
No. It comes up as a error. So I had to recreate all my HS teams(almost done)

that shouldn't be the case teambuilder teams should be able to be used for either system. it just makes it easier to search for the schools if you stay on the same system

I tried but keep getting an error messages. There is a couple teams someone I couldnt create and but were on the TB website already.
