EA Sports has confirmed Winnipeg will make its return in NHL 12.
Quote:
"The National Hockey League announced this morning that the True North Sports and Entertainment ownership group has purchased the Atlanta Thrashers, with plans to move the team to Winnipeg, Manitoba for the 2011-12 season.
EA Sports confirmed to IGN the newly relocated team will be included in this year's title, set for release this September."
So when does Winnipeg announce their new team name and logos? I really don't want to end up like the NBA games where the Oklahoma City basketball team had to use generic colors and logos because the team name and colors were not announced quick enough. Can someone assure me this wont happen in Winnipeg?

I created Winnipeg Jets in NHL11, at my Be a GM Mode Winnipeg plays in Northwest Division, Nashwille in Southeast Division and Minnesota in Central Division. What i think will in reality happen.
when you did this, though, it messed up each teams prospects. Winnipeg would get Minnesota's prospects, Nashville would get Winnipeg's and Minnesota gets Nashville's. Which sucks if you plan on being one of those teams.
Talking about realignement, when we move a team or replace one in BaGM, we should have the option to also move the affiliate team.
Then, for those who will move the Jets in NHL 12, they won't have to move all the team prospects from Chicago (if the affiliate team is staying there) instead of moving all the prospects to the affiliate of the team they are moving with.
