MLB 2K11 Patch Being Submitted at the End of the Week, Releases in Roughly 2 Weeks

According to Ronnie, the MLB 2K11 patch will be submitted to Sony and Microsoft by the end of the week. Due to the submission process, look for a release in roughly 2 weeks.

They will try to get the PC patch to release as close to the console patch as possible.

We'll post the MLB 2K11 patch details, as soon as they are released.

I could be wrong but I think it was just a console issue. It didn't happen to me a ton, but enough to where it got frustrating.

I turned off my replays and am playing a quick game, I've had zero freezes since then. After watching the first few replays, it was old, at least for me and I was hitting the button to skip it.

i'm about 40 games in my franchise, playing on the ps3.
I have not touched the replays, play most games and sim the occasional one.
Sofar i have had zero freezes.

Same here, it will freeze in other places but hasn't in game froze since going to hurry, I hate it, but its worked.

Same here. I have it on the 360 too, but always play on the PC because it's just a better version all around on PC.

Well, "roughly two weeks" should be "roughly" this week. Interesting to see if we get the patch and see what it does.

Just want to give my condolences to the PS3 2k'ers. Sucks that you have to wait longer. Hopefully though it's extremely minimal waiting time!!!!!

Yeah, 2k has got nothing to do with the delay. Sony is just busy with PSN stuff. And, depending on how they restructure PSN and it's software side, it might change protocols on patches as far as security is concerned. Either way, 2k got the patches to the company's, now it's just on Sony to get their PSN taken care of, and then quickly get any waiting patches for games OK'd.

MS tends to speed things up for MLB 2K from past experience while Sony does no such favours. The PSN being down has nothing to do with the patch. Patches were being downloaded even when the PSN wasn't working at all and the certification process shouldn't have a greater than normal delay. Sucks for me though knowing I'll have to wait longer - just how long though is the question.

I don't have a twitter account or facebook. And I really don't want to create an account to just view patch details. I'm not really into the idea of having to go Twitter or Facebook to find out what's going on with a game I purchased. I'm just old and cranky and resist change.

Believe me, when the patch notes get released, they will be posted here. We're still waiting on them. I've sent Ronnie a couple messages asking for an update on if we'll see them today or not. So far, no response. I hope it's because he's busy formatting the notes for release.

My guess however is that we'll see the notes tomorrow afternoon, sometime after the patch goes live. (If I recall, XBOX Live typically updates in the morning (CDT here) for me. Either way, soon as I see patch notes, I'll be sure to get them put here at OS if someone else hasn't beaten me to it.

Now I have to get back to fooling around with 2k11 while I wait for the patch notes!

Sounds like patch notes will be out tomorrow morning after Ronnie gets into the office. Hopefully XBL updates early morning and we're busy playing when he releases them.

It probably will be released in the morning or noon. In all my times of waiting for DLC or updates, it seems that's how it works.

Unless of course you have a PS3 and you have to wait a month, LAWL

yeah, most times I've heard, read, and experienced, is XBL updates somewhat early in the morning PDT. So, mid/late morning for me in CDT.

Don't hate on PS3 guys, I kinda feel bad for them with this.
