NCAA Football 12 News Post

According to Kevin McGuire of The Examiner, NCAA Football 12 is headed to the PC, for the first time since 1998.

Not seeing anything official at Gamestop or the official website, so we'll take the wait and see approach on this one, but it sure sounds like great news, if it turns out to be true.

"NCAA Football '12 will be released on July 8, 2011. It will be available on the Sony PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Microsoft Xbox 360. For the first time since the 1998 edition, the game will be made available on the PC as well."

Apologies for sharing this guys information with everyone, I had become very skeptical about it but I want NCAA for the PC so bad I kept some hope it could be true

I would completely shat myself if this is true, and would buy 2 copies of it just to support it. But as usual.....I'll believe it when I see it. Considering the game comes out in July and they've said NOTHING about a PC version, my hopes are not up.

But on another note there is a guy at the football-freaks website who runs an online league and claims to have Madden developers in his league, and they have consistently reiterated to him that Madden is returning to PC as well. So who knows.

I really believe they hate piracy and can't get around that.. It's a fact that EA has gave up on the PC market for it's sports game.

Come on, its been 13 yrs since they pulled it off PC. They didn't even give a clear excuse why they did that. Piracy?? Really?? If you know how to you can Pirate playstation and xbox games so its not like its only pc. Come on, people steal movies online so if you can do all that its not a good exuse, And as for saying it has low selling; how can that be if its been what 13 years? Of course if you don't have it out there people wont buy it.

damn...i went through page to page hoping to get some good news...only to be disappointed...

Its not entirely clear, ea sports is still keeping everything under wraps at the moment. Im still hoping for the best.

Any one who believes this just wanted to believe it to do so. There is no way they suddenly decided 6 weeks before release they were going to put it on PC too. Maybe for 13.

And you don't have to buy a new video card for every game that comes out. It is not hard to future proof a PC for several years at all and not break the bank either. If you go for the cheapest build possible, well of course you are going to be upgrading every year.

Who said they could have changed it in the last six weeks. Never know they might have changed that when they started making ncaa 12 but didnt announce it. We arent in the room to know what their intentions are.

Post 45 would seem to make this point pretty clear as far as NCAA12 is concerned.

We'll just have to wait and see. EA sports will not announce whether or not they will or not

The modding community is already sitting back and waiting to see. If this is true, this game will get major upgrades, including real faces for every player and more.

PC Sales would be through the roof, look at FIFA on PC, this would be a welcome to every home.

And I too would buy 2 copies just to support PC. The PC is well capable of surpassing the consoles visually, and imagine the tweaks to gameplay with full controller support.

Make it happen EA!

As much as I'd like this to be true, it's already been shot down by EA (see previous posts). And there's no way they'd wait until now to announce it's coming PC. It's not. As for sales "through the roof". Nope. That's why they ditched Madden a few years back. There just aren't enough PC sports gamers to support the product. I wish they'd give us another chance but I doubt they will.

I'd love more than anything to see that happen. I love ncaa football but I just dont have time for consoles. Id love ea to bring it back.

You don't know much at all about the industry then. The simple fact is there is far, far, far, far, far, far, far more piracy on the PC then there is on consoles, and yes that is why more, and more publishers have abandoned, and or drasticly cut down the amount of games they release on the PC.

If its released on PC you WILL see this exact list plus some other **** I haven't mentioned. Damn.
Maybe, maybe not. It took years and years before Madden PC saw significant mods, and the engine hadn't changed much since 2002 or so. And the only reason my franchise and roster editor came out for Madden PC when it did in 2005 was because someone did the hard yards for me with NHL PC and it just so happened both games shared database formats.

If EA want it to be, modding can be effectively impossible to do.
