MLB 11 The Show News Post

The above video shows all sorts of custom camera angles for MLB 11 The Show.

Here is a quick "How To" on enabling custom cameras in the MLB 11 The Show demo.

The only requirement is a second controller.

1) Pause the game and select Team Select.
2) Move controller 2 to the same team as controller 1.
3) Exit the Team Select screen.
4) The Cameras option is now available to select.
5) Select Cameras.
6) Move the Batting View or Pitching view to any of the 5 Custom cameras.
7) Press the Square button to Edit Camera.
8) Edit, Save and Enjoy.

Edit: You may now move the second controller back to CPU and return to playing single player with the custom camera.

This is ridiculous. How come we have to jump through hoops to utilize this? I don't even have a second controller.

I have a feeling this wasn't intended to be an actual demo feature - we're fortunate that it even works.

The cameras menu option is grayed out in the demo under normal circumstances, but it won't be in the final game - that will be the easy way of doing this once the game releases.

Awesome find! Are we able to move the pitching meter around to with this?

This is a great find.

I'd like to know if we can move the meters around as well.

Awesome, awesome, awesome and thank you to whoever discovered this. Can't wait to play with the dead-center pitching camera and move the meter if we can...

Great find Raskal, I don't have a second controller however, let me know if the meters are editable.

Yes, the camera editor in the demo seems to work exactly like the video tutorial.

Beautiful, mate! I seem to have found the hitting camera that I want now. Thanks a ton!

Oh, and your workaround is similar to one that allows you to make user substitutions as well. Check out the thread I created on that.

My favorite thing about this custom cam option is it's batter-handedness relative, so it would flip depending on whether the batter is a righty or lefty if it's offset.

I must be doing something wrong. The batting and pitching cams still have the lock icon next to it. I can only change the fielding from high to low etc from the Camera box, which is in fact no longer greyed out.

You might be on Player 1 controller when you're supposed to be on Player 2 or vice versa. Try and enter "Cameras" with the other controller instead.

Wow, incredible how much difference it makes when you find a camera that you like/love! I'm using the Minnesota Pitching cam with HIGH fielding and I'm able to react to balls in a much smoother/responsive way!

Thanks, mate!
