yes it does.... looks like you have to swing REALLY early to pull the ball... not a fan... but this game is going to be amazing as usual.

No doubt. I never play the home run derbies in baseball game anyways. As you said though, for those that will play the feature with PS Move......they have to really adjust their timing accordingly from the looks of it.

Haha. Wow. Jeter wins the HR derby? Okay.

to be honest, that doesn't look to fun at all.

I'm sure SCEA made them incorporate ps move some how... so this is how it got implemented. Oh well.

as much as I hate to say it, none of these MLB 11 PS Move demos are doing this portion of the game any favours

Unfortunately, you won't see how accurate it is with any off-screen footage. The conflicting framerates of the TVs and video camera won't allow it, unless they are somehow v-synched.

that was painful to watch lol ever heard of gathering your timing " you always take a damm pitch before you start swinging lol gotta let your brain calculate something so its 1 step ahead the next time you see the pitch lol

but I will avoid this feature lol if you can flick the wrist and hit it out forget that lol

Would have rather seen NON PS MOVE footage, but thanks for sharing!

I know what you're referring to, but this honestly isn't what the problem is. Don't be too surprised at all when it really is that laggy playing HRD with the Move in this game as it releases. You can see it in any of the demos that every guy ends up being late for some reason, and it's not just because of coincidence that they are now just "seemingly" swinging earlier.

It's too bad also, because I really like HRD and thought this would be a nice way to use the Move feature. Unfortunately with this kind of lag (and the unfortunate invisible player thing), it's just kind of tough to appreciate too much.

yes the lag looks bad but once i get a game home i found that the lag doesn't ruin game play. Now what i think the problem is that the guy is swinging to slow an too long. thats why he getting weak contact.

I'm definitely attributing the weak hits to a slower swing. I was sitting there and yelling at my screen, "Don't half-*** it, this is baseball!" I'm not sure how much SCEA calculates that though, in case teh kiddies need to be able to hit home runs as well (unless there are multiple "Move difficulty" levels).

I didn't want to bring this up when I was at CES. I didn't even care to try it. My interest was piqued when I went there and did want to see it in action. However after seeing it I felt it needed a lot of work and was hoping it wasn't the finished product.
