Yeah, I think he said something about how he hated the fielding last year (I watched it yesterday so I'm not 100% sure). But that's good to hear, and it sounds like they improved it. I know everyone is complaining that it just rehased everything that was said, but for me it was great. I've been so busy and lazy when I've had time I haven't read any of the previews so it sounds like I got everything that's been covered just by watching this video

Can't wait to try it out whenever the demo hits

Not impressed with the look of the players in the short clips they showed. My biggest problem with the players is from the knee's down, the whole size of the leg doesn't taper down at all around the ankle, just looks weird to me, like the whole shoulder thing that was in the Show

That is correct! He was sniped and is now pink.

Lol, yup. That's always bothered me too; all the players have cankles.

I remember reading something around this time last year that the devs said fielding was so messed up from Kush that they stripped it down and were giving it a year of development. Meaning that fielding was barebones last year intentionally while they added to the code.

I wish I could find the article to support that but it's been a year obviously. I'm not upset at how fielding was last year because of what I read but this year the pressure is on since it seems that was their main focus for 2K11.

Forever? Didn't he go to last years community week or whatever it's called? What did he do to get the big boot?

A couple things:

-I'm not a big fan of those player models. The way the players look and move seems very 'arcadey' to me.

-I really don't like the fact that the size of the flyball landing spot changes based on each player's fielding ability. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. If a player is a subpar defender, a lot of times it means that they 1) have a poor reaction time and therefore poor range and/or 2) just flat out lack the ability to consistently catch the baseball on non-routine plays (I say non-routine, because I feel like every major-leaguer not named Manny or Alfonso S. can successfully complete just about every routine defensive chance.) I think a better way to reflect this in the game would be to have the appearance of the 'ball shadow' delayed for lesser fielders to simulate their worse reaction time, and then let the player's defensive ratings take over once they get to the spot.

They are actually doing both. Better fielders have the ball shadow show up sooner and smaller. I personally like this.
