During today's Fight Night Champion chat, it was revealed that the demo will be released on February 1st.

"Ok, since you asked. Demo will be released February 1st, a full month before the game is set to release March 1st. Check out the Facebook page Monday morning for all the details."
since no one posted in here yet, here's a quick recap of info I found interesting from the chat:
-demo will be released on Feb 1st
-excessive clinching will drain your stamina, they want to prevent Ruiz-like tactics
-missing a punch costs more stamina than having one blocked
-No 1st Person mode
-Simulation setting only affects presentation, not gameplay. It will disable specific camera shake for high impact shots, screen flicker for counter window and counter flashes for landed counter punches among other things
-HUD can be completely disabled like last year
-Can only control 1 fighter in Legacy Mode
-Video about Create-A-Boxer mode coming sometime in Feb
-1 punch KO's are possible to the body
-approx 24 base styles available for CAB and 6 punch styles
-mixing up high/low as well as left/right will get thru a fighter's block better than just mixing up high/low
-Tall fighter's with long reach have the disadvantage of hooks that will go around opponents head more often than fighter's with shorter reach
-Live Chat for Online Q&A will be held in approx 2 weeks
-Boxer Share is in from FNR4 so you will be able to upload/share your CAB's again
-There is a chance that Rocky Marciano, Floyd Patterson and/or Jack Dempsey may make in into the game as DLC.
-Little to no chance that Riddick Bowe, Larry Holmes and David Tua will be DLC at this point
-Sugar Ray Robinson is highest rated boxer in the game
There were a few more things covered, mostly stuff I've heard before so I didn't mention it here, chat is worth checking out, nice job devs, sounds like the game is rounding into form.

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to the demo. Really disappointed to read that Legacy Mode is still single player. I was hoping for either a Multiplayer feature or the ability to control more than just one fighter to add some variety throughout the mode.
CABs are no longer allowed in Ranked Matches, except in OWC.
Other taller fighter disadvantages (besides hooks going behind opponents' heads more often then with shorter fighters) are lower Reflex Attribute and "current Stamina level".
This is a pretty significant post and dev reply:
Dant8:What tweaks, if any, could be done to the game based on the communites reaction to the demo??
thebrizzo: A lot. We have a lot of gameplay tuning variables set up on the server so we can tweak the game without having to patch.
-excessive clinching will drain your stamina, they want to prevent Ruiz-like tactics
Would've preferred warnings & points. Boxers hold to preserve themselves.

Cool as long as stamina and other aspects are simulated realistically. Good to see you can turn that stuff off.

I wouldn't pay any way.
I'm still waiting/hoping for news on the footwork since my purchase depends on it.

Good lookin stuff there. Very excited for this game. Very excited. Bring on the Demo.
my guess is that the demo will be Manny Pacquiao vs. "Sugar" Shane Mosley and that there will probably be some sort of unlockable item for playing/sharing the demo like in the last few EA Sports demo releases.
I'm hoping we can at least utilize(but not control) multiple CABs in Legacy mode but I'm not holding my breath.
I can't understand why it's so difficult to give us the ability to create 50 plus fighters but only use 1 in Legacy. I can't imagine that using more than one CAB is too complicated to add to the game. We've been asking for it for years now.

you can import up to 49 into Legacy Mode in FNC as opponents to fight against if that's what you mean, pretty sure you could do this in FNR4 too...

wtf I thought that was gone! you should just counter with your own timing - no mechanic. I hope there is a way to turn that off, or make it so fast that it's redundant. I can't believe they think having a counter window is a good idea.
excited for the demo. If we can choose our boxer, the first thing I will do is pick shane and try to land the jab and move around the ring. That will show me if it's a purchase or not. If I can hit manny with it and open up some opportunities because of it I'm good. If many puts me into counter-window hell while I'm throwing quick jabs I'll delete the demo on the spot and be instantaniously uninterested the the game.
Something else mentioned during one of the chats is yo can now go up two weight classes. That sounds fun, going from light weight to middle weight or middle weight to heavy weight.
I believe last year the shortest middle weight was 5'6"; fighting as a 5'6" HW would be a challenge vs a K-Bro.
