Top Spin 4 News Post

Destructoid has posted their Top Spin 4 preview.

"The commentary aspect of a television broadcast is missing, but 2K Czech has included pre-match cutscenes (for example, you'll see players walking out onto the court through a tunnel) to add some TV-style flair. So far, though, there don't seem to be a great deal of major improvements or additions to distinguish TS4 from TS3. I was expecting something more drastic from a game that will be launching nearly three years after its predecessor."

This is what I was expecting, honestly.

It just seems like 2K are rushing this one out since it is a relatively cheap game for them to make.

Not much different from Top Spin 3. That stuck out like a sore thumb. It is one mans opinion but if I can pick up Top Spin 3 for 90% less.....I will wait, see what players here think as well as DL a demo (I hope).

The Career mode is so important for me so that needs to be deep.

So this is a wait and see game for me at the moment.

i was excited for this early on and now i am in full 'wait n see' mode as well.

Meaning, waiting to see if Grand Slam finally surfaces.

Yeah, they weren't showing off any of that stuff yet, just gameplay (which, as I said, looks good). They told me they're going to have another demo in a few weeks where they discuss new/improved modes, so I'm still holding out hope.

Good post, Econoodle. However, reading the article I got a lot more positive vibe than just reading that little preview that you copied. As long as this game has Nadal on the 360, wayyyy better crowds and presentation, and slightly simplified the controls, I will be happy. I really don't care much for the commentating, because I think it would be poorly implemented anyhow, and be annoying of the repetitiousness after awhile. The crowd noise is huge though, because I just couldn't feel connected to top spin 3, and just got boring after a set. If you can feel the pressure moments, and feel every point matters, than that would be awesome!
