Wow, looks great!

Anybody know if the weather will actually progress and the sun will set, which will obviously make graphical changes to the sky and lighting, but also will the track conditions change as well as the sun goes down?

Anyone know if that was rain building up on the windshield

Yes, The weather, time of day, and track changes will all take place over the course of a race. So if your racing Daytona 500, the car will handle differently during the day, and will change as night draws upon the event.

Ahh I was hoping that this game was going to be a simulation. That is the most unrealistic video I have seen yet!

Jr. would have hit the wall two of those four laps

Looking good. Really looking forward to this. Hopefully a demo will be released soon.

It looks like this will be the first Nascar game in which I will run my Career races all at 100%. I did 50% in Nascar 09 because I really didn't think the game was all that great, but this game looks amazing.

They reported over on the boards on the official site that the day and night transitions aren't in the game, even though they were announced earlier on. I'm not sure why though, I don't know if a reason was ever given.

Looks lovely and smooth and love the lighting. Progressive lighting is a very underrated feature in my opinion. Makes a huge difference for me.

According to the developer's Twitter it isn't (also see thread).

I also read that weather will not effect the handling of the cars, either.

Then I apologize......

I was only going off of what I was told directly from the developer. Too be fair though, I was told this info back in late October, early November! I will confirm this for sure when I head down to the Daytona 500 for a game preview and the race.

Thanks to you, and others in here for the info!

Bummer that they apparently won't be in the game. I know its got to be tough for them starting from scratch and all, so I can live without it for year one. Makes sense on their part though. If the transitions were making the tracks look bad graphically, you definately dont want that happening on your first effort for the game. Also, if the track condition transitions are messing up the game itself, then you of course want to take that out and get it right before releasing your first crack at the game. I mean, afterall, has anything like that ever been done in a racing game before?

Either way, still looking forward to this game an awful lot.
