Dang, oh well, we've waited 2 1/2 years for a new NASCAR game, what's 6 more weeks. I think the fact that Johnson in on the cover is worse that the delay though.

damn, the former release date would've been perfect for me, right when my holidays start. But it's worth the wait if the game gets better and has no major bugs.
I haven't had a NASCAR console game since the PS2 days. This one looks like a winner though. I'm not trolling here, but the best thing to ever happen to the NASCAR license was for EA to lose it. It was painfully obvious they didn't care about it at all. I'm definitely going to give this game a try. Also the graphics and front-end design choices look super sexy!
I know Amazon has their release date as March, but when someone called the customer rep at Amazon they were told that was because they had no pre-orders left for February. I am not sure how true that is, but if they are saying it will be out for Daytona that has to be February.

The date of March 29th was personally confirmed by Sandbox Marketing(marketing group for the game). I recieved a pm confiming that the delay is 100% accurate.
I bought Nascar 09 used a couple days ago.. just for practice.
I loaded up a career... went to first race... did no testing/tuning and qualified 2nd.
This was on pro level and hard AI.....
Taking it back obviously.

LOL, yeah. I imagine you had the PS3 or X360 version, but the PS2 version which I had was no better in that regard. I never tuned my car or anything and had the difficulty on legend and it was often harder NOT to get the pole at some tracks. I could run up against the wall the whole time even smacking and scraping the wall repeatedly and still get the pole. Meanwhile, at other tracks (mainly the short tracks) you pretty much invariably qualified last no matter what. Pretty ridiculous.
