Really just worried about the leagues. So many issues last year, many were forced to use leaguedaddy making mlb the show cost even more!

Anyone know if we will be able to change the game time during season and playoffs ? I am not fond of night games, I love the day games better and lighting. In season mode most games are night time, like the real mlb season, however this is only because of people working in the daytime, and attendence will be down if they played the games during daytime. But to me , there is just something about a day game of baseball. I find the night games look rather drab/ bland. Hope we have that option this year to change the time of games in season mode.

I hope one of the CD guys could bring this up when they head out to SD

Ya as was mentioned before I hope the announcers display more emotion for important moments throughout the game and especially in big pressure post season situations. Like setting the stage for what is about to happen.

Also as for night games I didn't really find a problem with it except that it got dark WAY to fast. In early april ya games get dark fast but in the middle of summer it is at least 4 innings by the time it gets close to dark. Night games start in light obviously before transitioning to dusk and then into night. If they figured out a way to make this happen that would be tremendous and create that awesome summer baseball atmosphere.

Also it would be cool if they could speed up the clocks in the stadium. Even in a high scoring slugfest in mlb 10 the games would still end at like 9:45 or earlier. The only time I had a game go past 10 was in a coach mode game. In the post game the stadium PA guy says the game took 3 hours and 40 minutes. So the clock in the stadium should reflect that and the in game clock should say like 10:45 instead of 9:45. I know it's a very minor detail and I am sure most people didn't even pay attention to this.

I also think it could help with how the lighting is transitioned if the clocks were synced up as well.

Here's what I'd like to see...

1)Add an Online franchise Mode

2) When you're in an online league/franchise at the league menu, I hope you can hear other people in the league, if they happen to have their mic on and are in the league menu at the same time you are...

3) In the game lobbies, add mic icons beside their PSN name for the people that have their mic on...

3) Activate the mic as soon as you accept the game invite when you come to the team selection screen...

4) Do away with the on/off mic button on the controller and just always have the mic on

People should be able to turn there mic on and off whenever they want. It should not be on all the time that is just not a good idea.

I am still playing 2009. And since I play with auto field and auto base running (controls are too clunky for me IMO) I will again stick with 2009 as I will be going into my 3rd year of my Yankees Chise.

I had heard the little things were a nice touch to 2010 but the core gameplay was essentially the same. I am getting that same feeling with 2011. The game will have more graphical polish (although I am still blown away by 2009) and the new analog controls will appeal to those that wanted them. But it won't be enough to get me to purchase 2011. I am sure the game will rock. If indeed I read and hear great things (and I will play the demo) I will wait for a big price cut to even consider a purchase.

The Show 2009 was my first baseball game since MVP 2005 so I intend (and am determined) to get at least 3 solid years out of it.

Stay tuned...

This game will have a huge jump from '10, even bigger than '08 to '09.

Even some of the previews have touched on that.

I'm still holding out for an expansion mode so I can build a team from the ground up, mimicing the exact process new teams go through whenever expansion happens.

I think you're spot on with that predicition.

Didn't get the feeling that the jump from 09 to 10 was all that significant, that's why I skipped the 10-version. But 11 is definitely a must-buy, as I get the impression that we'll see a huge jump from the current version.

It's gonna be great to play with my Sox again, I'm loving the off-season so far.

If that is truly the case I will be picking up 2011 (after a nice price cut) 2009 can hold me over till next September or October.

You are one patient individual . I always get the show on release day. I am anxiously awaiting franchise news (which accounts for 95% of my playing time).

Why wait for a price cut? Unless $ is an issue of course. I have zero issues giving SCEA full price due to them actually improving and listening to the gamers input.

$$$ is not an issue. I just have 2K11, NHL 11, MAdden 11 and NCAA11 and then I get into CH2K8 in March again. I have so many Chises keeping me busy, plus I am going into my 3rd season with the Yankees in the Show 2009. I play almost every game (162) of my franchise in The Show. So just by playing my other sports games so much and trying to win my first title with the Yankees (been knocked out of the ACLS 2 years in a row!!!) in the 2009 version I figure by September of 2011 I will be ready for a new version of the Show if indeed 2011 warrants an upgrade over 2009. Might as well save 20-30 bucks to boot.

I hope the game truly kills it with analog hitting and pitching because that could be a game changer. And I am a stout fan of MVP 2005 (loved the controls which were perfect). I think the Show 2009 along with NBA2K11 are hands down the best sports games ever.

That's cool I understand. There are certain games that I try not to pay full price for also. In the case with SCEA, I have no problems paying the full release price as they never cease to amaze me how much they care and listen to us.

all i ask is for them to incorporate the offline franchise mode into an online franchise. me and a buddy had to keep emailing the file back and forth and would move a week at a time to work around this, ugh. ncaa football seems to be the only game that has gotten this right in terms of online franchise.

# 58 kylekash @ 01/10/11 09:44 AM
hmm, iirc the move will only be used during home run derby. I got one for xmas and haven't really used it much because there aren't too many games for it quite yet. I was hoping The Show would make good use of it this year, but if it is only during home run derby I will be quite disappointed.

I got no problems with the other controls, but I was looking forward to using the move with this one. Oh well.

The term MOVE is just an abbreviation for MOVEMENT. A la Wii. If you're skilful enough to hit the ball safely, say 4 times out of 10, some Major League teams might sign you up! After all, Ted Williams was the last to hit .400!
