Huh....interesting if true.

Think that would be a first outside of Madden getting his mug on the early 90's games every year, right?

Derek Jeter had a run of MLB 2k covers for a few years.

I think some people would like to see somebody different, but for me at least, it's a great guy to have on the cover

I see....2005 - 2007, three years in a row!

Same goes for Allen Iverson's run of covers on NBA2K and Shaq having back to back covers as well. And Randy Moss was on the cover of the first three NFL2K covers if I remember correctly.

Not a fan of the 'long term contract' coverboy for sports games, tho i only think Acclaim did it with Jeter and Favre [QB Club]. I could be wrong. As far as back to back, Shaq did it for 2k as stated above me.

with Tiger, he was so far and away the best choice that it didnt matter.
Plus, having favre, Jeter or Tiger on a cover is a good choice bucks wise, as they are big marketable names.
Interesting to go back to back with Mauer.

I know its only ascetic but I like the uniqueness of a different athelete for each entry

I haven't head about what he did this season, but I think this is more a testament to his skill.

LOL...I was sort of excluding Tiger from the equation here since he's been on that cover forever, but I had no idea it's been done that many times besides him.

*puts foot in mouth*

Cover looks nice, defiantly a fan of Joe M as a player. I jus wonder why they chose to go back to back with him. Maybe he does real good press work..but at the end of the day the cover doesn't sell the game its what on the disk that does and as we have seen in the past, it WILL be a great game. Can't wait till march..

Even from a Tigers Fan I think its great he got it again, really do like Joe a lot, but man if this was the big news about the game today then I am disappointed....lol

only if I can get a PS3 between now and then

A little shocked, but that cover is LEGIT!

Yeah, I'm really digging the cover this year! Last year's was a good change of pace, but the layout was a bit off.

This one says "We really mean baseball."

Call me surprised!
Looks like my signed Joe Mauer F.D.N.Y. hat is getting a little more valuable!

I didn't think we'd hear much "news" today....but I though maybe a little more than that.
