Czar is the man. I switched down to pro after a game or two so I could get the hang of isomotion better (which I've never been too good at). Also, the CPU can still be challenging on pro because they still run pretty good offenses and are decent at D so it's not an easy experience at first.
The size-up moves are so huge to have success in the game. Once I started using them I started getting to the rim at will.
Great video. People stop whining and play ball. No more cheesing. The biggest mistake as of now would be for 2k to think its too hard and patch it. DO NOT PATCH IT. This game does not need any changes in the difficulty. Finally a game that takes a true player a true person with knowledge of the game to play and win.
Completely forget the way you've played this game in the past. Makes everyone play smart basketball. if you want up and down craziness go buy NBA JAM. This is strictly for the enthusiasts playa..
Good look Czar. I was about to try sim All Star earlier but got a game invite. I'm probably one of those people who need to play on Pro for a while, but I'm diving in headfirst anyway.
I was wondering why I couldn't achieve isomotion and that vid really helped a lot. I was trying to do a simple crossover while standing still and was wondering why it would only do size ups. I really was expecting it to be like Live's system, now I know better.
Great vid. I've just recently become aware of that you can pressure LS for different movement speeds. Need to practice more.
I need to pay attention to movement of the defender when using ISO motion.
I find using the signature gather (Y button on the 360) is key for freeing up space from the defender as well.
So far on Pro, I've had only had one game when I blew out the CPU (I was the Kings, and I blew out the Knicks by 30+ points). I've lost more than I've won.
You definitely need to master the game on Pro before going to All-Star.

Not only for getting to the rim, but for forcing a slower defender who doesn't want to get beat off the bounce to take that step or two back so that you can J him up. With the supernatural recovery speed now gone, all it takes is a slight misstep by the D and you can get off a clean mid ranged jumper.
I don't know if i'm the only one but i'm doing just fine on hall of fame it just toke e a few games to get use to the contact and change of speed and direction u have to use to attack the hoop
Didn't really think there would be people complaining that it's too hard to blow by or get past someone.....I mean what did those guys want? I'm loving the learning curve, I feel so new at this, its def gonna take a lot of time in practice getting the ball handle up to par and also even more time getting use to the nuances of this game. That said, I love every minute I've put in so far as i really feel like I'm getting better with each game. This game is much more deeper than I ever thought it could be but also very simple if you master the fundamentals.
P.S. they weren't kidding when they said passing would be fun. It was painful at first but once it starts to click that lazy passes don't cut it, you will find yourself doing the right things to hit guys and giving them the best chance to score. I Love this game.
yeah the defense is though on 2k11, even in the pro difficulty. So for me mid range jumpshot is the easiest way for scoring, just pick up 71 points with Jordan on MJ Creating A Legend mode.
yes sir czar you are right once you realize that you have to play real basketball the game just flows the way it is supposed to. you have to break those 2k habits. passing across the court is not an option, trying to forcefully breakdown the defender is not an option any longer you have to know your match-up. I was using Baron Davis matched up against Chris Paul and I was not able to just beat him off the dribble. So I had to think how do get by a defender who is far more superior in speed? Screens and post up. You have to take what the D gives you. play basketball not video games.
