I play on casual and in one game, I got around 40-50 points with 5 min quarters. Each team had around 40-50% FG shooting.

Anyone know how to get the dpad to exit for ps3? I press the dpad button, but after I'm done with what I wanna do, it stays up for like 10 seconds and during the time that the menus up, I can't shoot or pass the ball, so I'm forced to walk around with the ball for the time that the dpad menu is up and it gets annoying, especially since shotclock will run out or other team will get an easy basket.

Hey guys, I've never played "My Player" before, does every drill award the same SP points? Like, do all gold stars = 400 points?

Alright this is a really stupid question... how do I just play a regular 1 vs 1 online ranked match? I don't want to play the NBA Today mode with mutliple people where you are locked into one player. Just want to be able to select a team and play another guy who selects his team and play.

Quick question about Association... IIRC, last year I edited all of the fake D-League player's ages so that they would retire and then the D-League teams would sign real player's from the FA list. Do I need to do that again this year?

a) end up throing up a soft hook

or, getting the shoulder fake animation, after my pump fake.

Is it possible to set your defense settings and matchups for a particular game before the game starts (without having to pause right before the tip-off)? This would be especially helpful for simmed association games.

Hey guys, sorry for my bad english, i would just like to ask one Q (maybe question already been asked). If i play NBA Today i can see at half time report resoults of other games, upcoming games and so on.,. but i didnt see this in association. Is this only in nba today?

From what I've read, it seems the PS3 has some jaggies and the 360 looks a little sharper/brighter, but otherwise, the 2 games are pretty even.

I'm going to get the game for the 360 b/c I like the 360 controller for B-ball games better than the PS3 controller. The triggers are more responsive to me, and I like the position of the R-stick.

sorry if this is a dumb question, my first year playing a 2k basketball game and I dont know how to dunk? I mean Ill drive to the basket and hit square but most of the time Ill lay it up or do a jump shot, so how do I dunk?

When in Association, how do you know which teams have the role of Contender, Buyer, Seller or Rebuilder?

Does changing the player role make them less likely to get traded? Steve Nash is the main player everyone wondered why he kept getting traded...but his role is Starter and not Star.

Last question...did they remove the "dead ball" replays?

hold down turbo (right trigger) then press shoot as you run towards the basket. Go into practice mode and shoot around and get your dunk on there til you get the hang of it. You can also hold turbo and pull different directions on the right stick to do different types of dunks ie you pull away from the basket with the R stick while running towards the basket and holding turbo and your player will do a reverse dunk.

Probably made that way more confusing than it needed to be.

thanks man, havent played a basketball game since live 09 and I believe in 09 they had a button for dunking and lay ups.

Some people say the can get the FULL halftime report like the one shown in this video:

Some folks are only getting just stat analysis with highlights at the halftime show, while others are getting scores from around the league and upcoming games in addition to stat analysis and highlights. There are people saying that we need to have a 360 HD but there are alot of us that do have them and we still don't see it.

Then there are those that are saying it's only available on the PS3, and some are saying that it's only shows in NBA Today games. There is just too many different rumors flying around about what we need to have to get this to work in a FULL halftime report. Seems like everyone has an opinion but no one has a concrete confirmation on what makes this work.

Could you please confirm what is needed to get the full halftime report with scores around the league and upcoming games? Is it not implemented yet? Is it a bug on some systems?

Edit: Something to add. Are the FULL halftime shows ONLY available when you play an NBA Today game? Or is it available in other modes like Association mode?

I'm not seeing this full half time show either. Anyone know what I need to do to get it working. I'm on the 360 BTW.
