even if the side was hit, when's the last time you saw the floating ball and that angle? it almost defies physics. plus think to last year's game, it happened all the time. i can find countless examples of this in all of the videos out too. it's not game breaking but it's just been a nagging annoyance for years.

clearly they matter to someone and they are obviously thinking about them. everything is not PERFECT. i don't think any game is absolutely perfect.

Once again the up and under move looks like it will be unstoppable again.

this move has to be completely redone by the devs.

Everything else looks simply amazing by the way

The "floating" I'm not seeing too much of, but I won't contest that one with you. As far as the ball moving to that spot: Thabeet could have hit Aldridge's arm to make the ball come loose like that. Like I said, I didn't see much there to have a gripe with.

Actually, a poster in the "Little Things" thread mentioned an up and under shot being blocked from the weakside. But yeah, hopefully it's effectiveness should be reduced for one-on-one situations.

If that was my post; I was referring to the reverse layup, not the post move, unfortunately.

It definitely seems too effective at this point, but I'm hoping this is on a lower difficulty. Randolph will likely be top 3 in the game in terms of close rating + offensive post as well, so let's hope that's the case here.

Lovin' the vid - it's a breath-of-fresh-air to actually see a couple gameplay vids of mediocre teams. (not the Heat, Celtics, Lakers, etc.)

My only gripe with the series so far is the darn SOUND of when the ball hits the rim on a miss...UGH! It just sounds horrible...the echo is bad, and the ball does NOT sound like that during a t.v. broadcast - it looks like I'll have to turn the in-game sound effects off....too bad.

Based on the vids I'm not feeling the playcalling at all right now.
yeah man of course, have you watched any of DaCzar videos, he explains this in everyone, teams will play like they play in real life,

This is what it should look like:

and the blazers should have white shoes and socks at home, not black, they wear black in the playoffs. 2k did this last year also and the only way to get white socks was to download one of their jokes of a roster update.

Z Bo's first up and under wasn't canned. That was a step through followed by a flick flick. Looks like you can basically up and under with anyone, anywhere now. Doesn't matter...all post moves were high powered since people complained about missed layups two years ago. Up and under is the simplest, but everyones pet post move was high powered. The baseline spin/reverse layup was gravy, the faceup/hopstep was money, and everyone had a turnaround like Sheed...only the hooks out of the stepthrough/dropstep could be contested consistently since the animation called for the defender to stay attached. Looks like the new up and unders are supposed to counter the amped up blocking.

Also, in 2K10 once the play was triggered, you didn't have to stay in the circle...you could dribble around and sizeup as the play developed. Should be the same, hopefully.

Nah, it looks alright to me. Gasol looks just slightly taller than Oden in this video and he is 7'1" in real
life so it's o.k.
One thing I noticed though is that Aldridge and Batum - in the short moments where the camera zooms in on one of them - look actually 2 years younger instead of older compared to 2k9.

Hey!

Just wanted to comment on the statement made earlier about how annoying it is that conley has to initiate every play, I say the SAME thing everytime I watch them play in real life.

No easy baskets come out of our play design, which is why we are always at the bottom of the league in assists.

Sad, but the playcallin is pretty accurate

There should be set plays which can be initiated with any player on the court so if Mayo has the ball you don't have to pass it back to Conley to run a play for Rudy Gay. That's what I was expecting to see this year.
The problem is you dont know what play was called. If the play was a 1-3 play, that means that the 1 (Conley) has to initiate the play.

Will you please find your seat?! This does not affect gameplay in any way, but it was a funny observation. There are a few fans who are sliding into the aisle to find their seat...and they go back and forth the entire quarter (see Memphis end, guy in green shirt, and the guys in the brown shirt and Blazers shirt behind Grizzlies bench, etc.). Again, doesn't take away from the game experience, but it is funny.

I play with the Nets and I wish they would fix it. It looks ridiculous. The worst part of it is that when you used custom colors on the shoes you can see they have the darker red in they palette. Makes no sense if you ask me.

The only time I saw some that looked like they were initiated by players other than the PG was in Da_Czar's Heat vid. Even then I couldn't tell for sure because I don't believe he showed the plays from inception.
There were plenty of plays in the other videos initiated by SGs. Watch the Lakers video, lots of plays there starting with 24 (Kobe, Pau).

I'm sure there's plays that start with SFs too, and I was hoping for a Mavs breakdown to see what they do with Dirk.

I wouldn't worry about it. The Grizzlies will certainly have some in there for OJ.

There are plays in the playbooks initiated by other players so even if the Grizz dont have any, you can always change their playbook to include those plays. I also recall Odom initiated a play in the Lakers Czar video.

Sorry, now I know what you mean. You where talking about the jumping ability of the players, I thought you meant just their size. Because on the vertical issue I totally agree with you.
The bigs shouldn't be able to jump that high. It looks weird and takes away too many rebounds from smaller players.
