The NBA 2K11 demo is available now for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

You can only play as the Lakers, can't play as the Celtics
4 minute demo
Can't run plays
LT+RT to post up
No replay

Feels very responsive and smooth. I really like how there are set controls to do certain moves, it really gives you full control of what you are to do, and no longer are the days of just doing random stuff to get by defenders.

Definitely gonna take some gettin used to for a sec, but all in all, I'm very impressed with the atmosphere right off the bat and I don't wanna be a spoiler, but did anyone else see what looks like the "SC" and the word "Center" on the padding for the basket support?

Player movement is so smooth.

The pull up jumpers are AMAZING. You can truly be Kobe from mid range. Wow.

Atmosphere stands out right away:
-NBA Arena horn sounds before tip
-all the organ sounds... just stellar.

Pulling off all sorts of jumpshots has never been so easy.

Does anyone know how to post up?

demo should allow you to look at controls right?

Animations is smooth again, great frame rates.

A couple of glitches/bugs I've found.

Ref's stuck trying to inbound the ball can't get around big baby davis in this instance.

But loving the extra detail, and smoothness of it all. Can see the textures of the jerseys clearly. Player models seem smoother on the edges then in previous years?

Only one 4 minute quarter with no rematch option is sort of weak, but it gets back into it fast.

The most basic control list, yeah.

LT is dribble/shot modifier
LB is Positional plays/ pick control
RT is Sprint
Rb is Icon Passing

etc...

I cant post up to save my life. it' goes into triple threat the whole time when you hold down LT.. even clicking LT in doesnt engage it

You know what man.. those Lakers jerseys look GREAT. Finally they have a vibrant feel to them instead of the washed out color from years past.

LT+RT...If I remember correctly.
