• Most teams have three current players and at least one legend.
• Nine teams have been granted a fourth active player in cases when EA deemed fan voting too close to call.
• Some teams do not have a legend on the roster, either because of contractual restrictions -- legends must still be a member of the National Basketball Players Association to be included in the game -- or because of a team's relative lack of history.
• Another factor in legends selection: Players who appeared in the original arcade version in 1993 (listed here) were preferred.
• I'm told that there will be the standard array of hidden players that will have to be unlocked."
1. The vast difference between current Cleveland Cavs jerseys and retro, Mark Price-era duds makes me wonder if retro jerseys are available. It'll look a little funny to see the legends in current uniforms.
2. I wholeheartedly regret not voting over and over and over until Ben Wallace passed Charlie Villanueva on the Pistons roster.
3. Mike Dunleavy!
4. Stein beat me to the punch. I was hoping for some Blue Edwards/Brad Lohaus action.
5. The inclusion of Drazen Petrovic: Awesome. Have you guys heard the story about how the old NBA Jam would randomly shout "PETROVIC!" during the pause screen?
6. Larry Johnson as a Knicks legend seems a little strange. I guess we'll have to see what's happening with the Hornets squad when that roster is released.
7. Nice to see Dr. J. Interesting he appears to be the oldest legend.
8. Maybe the Raptors should have looked in to Tracy McGrady, Damon Stoudamire or Oliver Miller as legends. I don't see a lot of intrigue on that roster.
How awesome. . .would a Gheorghe Muresan/Manute Bol combo have been? Considering Washington's mediocrity over the last 25 years, they've had some sweet NBA Jam candidates: Manute, Ghitza, Mugsy Bogues, a Chris Webber/Rasheed Wallace/Juwan Howard trio, Gibert Arenas, Tom Gugliotta, Rex Chapman, MJ. . .
Speaking of Washington, is Barack making an appearance in version of NBA Jam? Maybe a couple of former presidential greats to run along side?

Players of NBA JAM can earn and unlock more than 100 cheat codes, secret characters and legendary NBA players. Secret characters were a big part of the original and EA SPORTS is committed to keeping the spirit of past unlocks alive (wink, wink)
