Share the Demo with Friends and Unlock Classic Randy Couture

The highly anticipated EA SPORTS MMA demo will be available on September 28 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3! Jump right into a match via “Fight Now” to experience the intensity of MMA in two weight classes: heavyweight and middleweight. Fans can take control of current STRIKEFORCE heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem, or utilize the brute strength of former professional wrestler, Bobby Lashley. The two middleweights featured in the demo are predominantly Jiu-Jitsu fighters - the top ranked Jake Shields, as well as the always entertaining Jason “Mayhem” Miller. Matches in the demo are officiated by the best in the business - Big John McCarthy, with fighter introductions by Jimmy Lennon Jr.

For the “Fight Now” experience, step into the STRIKEFORCE cage at the HP Pavilion and test your mettle across four different skill levels. Or learn the ropes via the “MMA 101″ interactive tutorial that pits rivals Shields vs. Miller in a ring at the Horizon Center of Japan. EA SPORTS MMA is the only game that allows you to travel the globe and experience different fighting environments, rule sets, and training locations.

By sharing the demo with friends, fans can unlock “Classic” Randy Couture as a playable character in the full version of the game. Additional information outlining the exclusive EA SPORTS Live Broadcast mode, as well as other modes like Career, Fight Card, Create-A-Fighter (featuring Photo Game Face), Fighter Share and Online Belt Rank are detailed in the demo.

Yea Fight Card will be great when we can schedule a night when we all can get on. Need to see how all the online functions will work to find out our best plan of action. Hell Simon might be able to give us a little insight into the best league options.

To me fight card is next-gen. Actually, I think EA has done great with their online functionality this generation. Some of their games me be as dumb as a box of rocks but their online is well done IMO.

It'll be tough to get everyone on the same page to do a card, but communicating when we'll all be on will be key.

Kind of a noob question, but what does it mean to "share" the demo to friends? How do I do that (PS3 btw, if it makes any difference)?

I want to unlock classic Couture, lol.

It will be a button on there you press and then another box will pop up and you select those on your list you want to invite download the demo as well. Kind of like a mass email.

Those friends you choose, will get an invite message to download the demo.

I'm really looking forward to this demo. I'm going to set some time apart an really focus on getting things down and giving this game a legitimate shot. If stamina plays out like we have read, this might just be one solid game.

I just hope the 360 demo comes out on time this time. All this month 360 demos, patches, tuner updates, roster updates have been coming out a day late.

I wonder if having the demo date announced earlier will make a difference. The NBA 2K11 demo arrived on time. We've known for a while this date for EA MMA. Maybe that'll help.
