Where did you get the first patch at? If you got it in the Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, general area at any mom and pop stores please pm me.

I wouldn't count on seeing this patch before next Tuesday and with the holiday thrown in, perhaps later than that.

Its a bit disappointing that college football kicks off tonight and we really can't start dynasties yet because there will be hours of testing that need to be done after this patch drops.

Anyway, take your time EA and make sure you patch up what's broken and don't tinker with anything that's waorking. And restore the passing game back to where it was at launch.

Yea, literally you can still play the game so its not "unplayable" in that sense, but at the same time with the depth out of wack like that I see it really effecting the outcome of games played.

I'm sure with the QBs at WR, that HAD to nueter the CPU passing game.
I'm sure that it gave me some advantage, but I've seen it once in 60+ games and they were on the depth chart because the team was all D- crap team and those QBs actually had a higher overall rating at that position than the WRs. So, in effect, they may have actually been better than the CPU WRs at that position, but it's just not something you'd really ever see in real life. It was caused by incredibly low receiver ratings and relatively high QB ratings.

The other depth chart issues are more annoying especially with offensive line and linebacker positions, but that was the most noteable because it was bizarre.

Yeah I was just thinking that if it doesn't come out tonight it probably won't come out until late next week b/c of the holiday.

You guys need to relax and just have fun with the game.
Even before the upcoming patch this is a great game. Again have fun with it, it is a video game. Are there issues with this game??? Yes for sure there is. But it is still the greatest next gen football game IMO.

Its a decent football game. They need to put the passing game back to where it was, fix zone coverage, and shore up the problems with dynasty.

For anyone who likes to compare stats year over, its really pointless to start a dynasty until a set of sliders is settled on. I can play some play now games, and enjoy those for what they are, but investing the time in a dynasty isn't worth it until the final version of the game is complete and the final version doesn't have glaring flaws.

is anyone else worried that the only thing of substance in this patch will be the pump fake glitch?

i say this simply given the timelines of the 2nd patch release, the uproar of the pump fake glitch and then add 3 weeks for ms/sony testing/certification.

it seems they didnt really have any time to work on this patch if its already coming out this week.

I am concerned about this. Hopefully we have some other small fixes...

I don't have high expectations for the patch either. But Sony and MS usually takes 1-2 weeks to certify the patch not three depending on the size and other variables.

It would seem to reason that that is all they will really address. It's hard to say though.

I want them to just put pass accuracy back to where it was at launch. It was fine there. Stop the 60-70 yard fg attempts on heisman. If they fix zone coverage too it will be a bonus.

I have the game playing fairly decent otherwise.

I'm hoping for

- CPU Depth Chart Fix
- Slightly tone down the accuracy of QBs
- Make the defense play much better zone coverage
- Increase the effectiveness of the "knockdown" button on defense
- No more 60 yard field goal attempts by the CPU
- And of course, the pump fake glitch (even though I couldn't care less since I don't play online and don't have to worry about either the AI or me using this).

If it helps anybody's high hopes, some of the things we're wanting are probably tuneable, so this patch may not be the last chance to fix some issues. Just looking at the above list I would guess that all of these could be tuned and may not require a patch:

- Slightly tone down the accuracy of QBs
- Make the defense play much better zone coverage
- Increase the effectiveness of the "knockdown" button on defense
- No more 60 yard field goal attempts by the CPU

Love this list but would add 3 more

- a little more tweaking (aka improving) the incoming recruit ratings.
- punt and kick return blocking
- make the run block and run defense sliders more effective so we can get a cpu run game on AA (i still dont understand what the heck they did to AA running)

one more...

WR rarely drop passes after being hit... this is extremely unrealistic. FIU WR not dropping a pass when they are being hit right in their ribs..

before patch 2, this was perfectly done.

I noticed this too!!! I completely agree. For some reason I'm thinking they did this on purpose for patch 2?!? Idk why they would though...

Close to perfect...before the patch, when it was coming out, it technically was a fumble.

I think because people were complaining about it. The real problem with making these games manifests itself every single year: no matter how some aspect of the game is done, some people think it's too little or too much, and others think it's perfect. The first group complains long and loud. Then they change it, and the second group complains that it was fine before.

This is the beauty of sliders, and why I wish we had twice as many of them (and that they were twice as effective). Everybody's expecting a different thing from the game - and even getting wildly different results, depending how they play, what difficulty level they're on, what team they use, and so forth.

Agreed x1000. The only thing I use zone for lately is if I'm just killing clock in a blowout, or I am bringing a blitz and think I can get there quick enough to force a bad throw.
