EA Sports has just posted another NCAA Football 11 blog, thanking everyone, as well as giving us a few patch #2 updates.
Quote:
"More details on the client update to come, but here are three of the big ones we've solved:
-- RANDOM PLAY ACTION CRAZINESS - Sure it looks funny, but annoying as heck when it costs you a drive or a game. We're sorry we missed this one as well and apologize for the issue.
-- SEASON SHOWDOWN STATS REPORTING - The season showdown warning is harmless right now and this issue and related lobby problems ultimately get fixed with the update.
-- UNIFORMS THAT NEVER NEED WASHING - This is one of the more painful ones for us given all the work on visuals this year. The game actually does degrade uniforms; unfortunately we broke something in a final build that made the impact way too subtle. Consider this one solved with the update. And we want you to know that we've really been enjoying the great "Art of NCAA Football" threads. It's clear we have some incredible photographic talent in our community! So I expect things will go next-level when the update rolls out."
Nice ODogg shout out, looks like your famous man lol. This is good to hear, it's so easy to get mad at the devs, when it seems like you're shouting at wall, but nice little updates like these help keep things in perspective.
One thing i want add is if they know about how badly the Depth Charts get arranged? It's a very big problem, some players will playing back up for 3-4 different positions and causes huge on field issues once the starters get fatigued.
Sweet tuner set coming next week, and they can adjust the recruiting through tuner sets. I didn't think that would/could be a part of it. Thought it would need to be patched.
Also, you don't realize how nice dirty uni's are...until you see a pic of it in-game. Now, i want it yesterday....lol.
All in all good stuff, they're quick to fix stuff this year. Nice job NCAA team.
How awesome that the recruiting ratings, roster management logic, and others are issues that will be addressed as early as next week with tuner sets! The patch is only the tip of the ice berg. Tuner sets oh how I love thee...
Are we sure the tuner set is going to fix rating/progression issues? To me, that part of the blog wasn't very clear whether it would be fixed with tuners or by a patch.
Just wondering if I should wait a week before going into the next season.

I'm with you. Recruiting is mentioned but they don't really say what they are able/going to do.
Sounds good to me. I don't need much in the patch. Nothing glaring to me although fixing recruit ratings will be nice through the tuning sets. ODogg must be in heaven!

Same worry here. He mentioned progression and recruiting issues, but not ratings specifically. I hope the AWR and the WR elusiveness/juke and K/P ratings are able to be tuned and we don't have to wait for a patch.
Wow this is fantastic news from the NCAA dev team.
The tuner sets for NHL series were incredible and made a world of difference in gameplay. If we get anything like the NHL series than this game will be sick in a few weeks. Thank you EA NCAA dev team.
I'm hoping that robotic stop/start CPU controlled ball carriers falls under the "big ones" category for this patch.
That would be the most important fix for me aside from the prospect/recruiting issue.
From their description of what can be fixed by the tuner sets, it would seem that this is something that could be fixed in the LTP instead of having to wait for the patch, but we'll see next week when they release the notes for what they specifically tuned.
