wow, the new lighing and the new animations looks awesome. Some much more fluid. And the old grey look was boring so the new light looks great!
THe passing freedom looks great...

Most of the footage was from the previously released trailer, but the menu stuff in the first minute or so looked very slick. Too bad I have no idea what the voiceover guy was saying...

yeah was hoping for more new in-game footage, new team select screen looks good, hoping the rest of the menus are just as NEW

I do He basically talked about the new features. He said if you played the WE version of PES you will be familiar with the new formation screen. He also said that X is used for all passing now and you can play the ball into space. He said he takes time to get used to it. If you want to know anything else let me know.

Woah, only 1 button to pass? That kinda sucks, did he say if it was possible to still use the old settings?

He didn't say. Maybe I misunerstood but the way he made it sound X is used for through balls too but I could be wrong.

I could understand if it was for pass and crosses as tapping it would pass it towards whoever your pointing at while the ball would gain height the longer you hold the button but I don't think the game would know exactly when I want to hit a through ball or just want to hit right at him. And what would the open button be used for? I like sprint/pace/moves being on the shoulder.

Thanks for the translations. So one button for passing? Whaw will the circle and triangle buttons be for? :S

Ok I listened to it again. He definitely said it was on the X button now.

He said in the past you could play short balls with X and press circle ( pretty sure if I translated right ) for long balls but now it is on the X so will be intersting to see how that plays out.

Ok but he didn't say anything about through balls or how the pass/cross is determined?

Not that I heard and I immediatley thought the same thing so not sure if you can still use those buttons or not.

From everything I've read, there is still a "thru ball" button. But, with the new free passing, the notion is that you'll eventually just be using the passing button to put in thru balls. And I believe that circle is still a lofted pass/cross. Basically, buttons are same as we've gotten used to with previous PES versions, just X is going to be a manual pass instead of the R-stick.

There is still the triangle (PS3) through ball button, and crosses will still be with circle. The x button is used for normal passes, but as you will have more freedom with it, you can pass the ball into space with x as well, or use triangle if you want to.

PES is looking sweet this year. The difference from last year to this is definately visible that's for sure. If it plays as good as it looks it's a definate purchase for me, unlike last years version. I can't wait.
