NBA Elite 11 News Post

First Cuts had a chance to bounce a few questions off the developer teams from NBA Jam and NBA Elite 11 about free agency's impact on their games this fall.

Quote:
First Cuts: "NBA Elite will have daily updates to take care of any roster turnover, but from a simulation standpoint how do these superstar pairings potentially change player ratings? For example, will you rate Chris Bosh any higher with a more competent cast around him, knowing his game could flourish?"

NBA Elite 11 Team: "At the beginning of the season, we try to balance a player’s base skill along with their previous season performance trends. For example, a player like Lamar Odom is more skilled than his stats suggest given the teammates he has, so we need to take that into account. In the case of the Big 3, their initial ratings in ELITE will be similar to our final update in NBA LIVE 10. That said, as the year goes on their ratings will fluctuate based on their performance."

Since all three will take less shots meaning points per game will drop, will their overall rating be lower?

I think you don't have to do the DNA update if you don't want to.

There's always a chance that it'll work properly this years, however so slight it may be.
