I wish they wouldn't just given us retro arenas and legends instead( if they aren't already implemented)....but I wonder what the "apparel" is. Maybe accessories(sleeves, compression shorts, wristbands)?

*reserves* Hopefully they have my Jordan 11 in this pack.... So you are telling me that the other game will have him on the cover, while we get all the nice apparel. I will take it. lmao

I'm a little concerned about the "boost" part of this. Does this mean that people who recorder will get an automatic advantage over those who don't? I hope not

They'll get a boost in appearance, but I don't think they'll "boost" their playing level. That would be ridiculous. I also think it's ridiculous that this stuff doesn't come prepackaged. Pitiful

I'm guessing this is US only ??

Stuff like this isn't worth it.

Why cant they have things like how NHL had for one year where they gave out mini jersey statues and stuff, they make great collectibles. MLB 2K also had a bobblehead with the purchase of their game.

NBA should give out a free mini elite 11 basketball or something, that'd be better than in game apparel that you'd barely notice.

Why isn't it worth it, it's free. You're not paying any extra money when you pre order.

I did read what it said. The word "boost" usually means providing an advantage -- at least when it comes to preorder bonuses in video games. That's why I asked the question.

Sorry it doesn't say anything about a ratings boost anywhere

I hope EA quits asking us to buy stuff that should already be in their games. I'm tired of being nickled and dimed every time I pick up one of their games now. I want everyone to get what they paid for not pay stuff that 2k Sports puts in for free.

Haha, I agree that it should be in the game regardless. But you're not paying extra. Pre ordering helps them ship more copies. I see nothing wrong with trying to give a little bonus to the players who want the game day one. I think it might also have to do with MJ being on the cover of 2k.
