yeah what a load of crap......even when the 1st ratings came out around draft time he ws still 90

If anyone saw him at those minicamps, they could tell he has lost weight too

I coud see them dropping him down had he had a year like 06, but he had his best statistical year last year.....but still you can't just look at a stat sheet and make that the be all end all with B-Roeth

People have been lurking around for years clenching their fists, waiting for the opportunity to discredit the way the guy plays the Qb position.....because they think its all been "Given" to him or hes lucky for this or that reason.

but whatever, as far as Madden goes its not that big a of a deal now, they've been decent the last couple of years at making weekly changes

Brees better than Manning?! I don't think so. Just cuz the Saints won the Super Bowl doesn't mean that Drew Brees even comes close to Manning. I absolutely hate Tom Brady but hands down he is better than Brees as well. Anyone who understands the game of football and who watches the top three QB's consistently would say Manning, Brady, the Brees. Don't get me wrong, Drew is a ridiculously good QB, but Peyton is an all-time great. Not even close.

I love the Jets and all, but Leonhard is an 85? Does this mean that Im going to be able to cover pro bowl TE's man to man with him? LOL

This is EA at its best. Rather then make a excellent defensive unit, play together as a unit, and program the schemes to operate properly, based on their strengths..lets go and overrate every player on that unit.

Revis, Harris and Jenkins are fine..but I am willing to guarantee that the rest of the players will be severly overrated, because that's how EA decides to represent a #1 rated defense.

He's not a Jet anymore, thank god, but I remain absolutely amazed at how Kerry Rhodes consistantly gets rated so high...each and every year.

Do these guys watch football? The man was benched for nearly a month for a journeyman

The guy lines up deeper then any free safety in football, because his range stinks, and he's still a second late on all of his breaks.

Kerry Rhodes is brutal.
Madden has the worst rating of players than anyone. Its like the more popular the team is the more love the Madden team gives them.

Adrian Peterson rated 98 without a HUGE HIT on Ball security?

Every year they take one team that had a good run and was the talk of the town and boost them so high its stupid.

The good thing is that in Madden the rating that matters is speed so as long as my 50 rated CB has 99 speed than he should perform better than Revis

Yeah, if anybody has a different opinion than you it is obvious that they don't understand football.

Come on... Brees had a better year than Manning last year and led the 'Aints to the Super Bowl in a game where Brees outdueled Manning head to head. Manning might go down as one of the greatest of all time, but at this point in time the argument can be made that Drew Brees is as good as anybody. And I personally think that he's surpassed Brady. I don't even think Brady was a top 5 QB last season.

If we are going off last year than Brees was the best QB in the NFL. If we are going on career stats than Peyton would be #2 Behind Brady who should be #1.

I think a lot of these ratings are based on the people around them rather than the players themselves.

Brees plays consistently at the level he typically played at, he wasn't magically better this year, but the O-Line and Defense stepped up so that turned into wins and now he's a 99 OVR ahead of Brady and Manning.

The Patriots had a lot of issues with the O-Line this year, with Brady having to hurry a lot of throws and getting sacked (typical examples include the complete inability to block in Q1 of the Ravens playoff game), so now Brady is a 95, 4 points below Brees despite being a better QB throughout the Career.

As for Asomugha vs Revis, in the regular season even though the Jets were 8-8 or whatever, in the last 6 games, he covered one of the leagues top 10 recievers man to man without help all games and in those 6 games he gave up 151 yards and no TDS (total). That's holding guys who average over 70 yds/game to an average of just over 30 and that's with no over the help top. He also had a good number of interceptions. Asomugha is without a doubt the best Zone coverage corner, but Man coverage at the level Revis provides is flat out better for a team.

The thing I love about Brees is his favourite receiver is the open receiver. Right now I would actually chose Brees but no doubt Manning has had the better career and will go down as possibly the best ever.

That's just flat out incorrect. If you do your research you'll find his fumbles per attempt is really similar to some of the greatest RBs and wasn't even the highest the last season.

Jim Leornard is comparable to John Lynch in my eyes. Nothing physically screams amazing but his play on the field makes him better than he appears. If you know what I mean.

Yea lol...I actually had a theory about EA not making the packers exactly right because they would be the most dominant team in the game..look Nick Collins is too slow...Jermichael Finley is not even in top 10 TEs WHAT????.....Ryan Grant too damn slow and Aaron Rodgers needs to be a bit faster at least faster than his back up matt flynn..look like 20seconds into this video A-Rod is gone lol.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxh5pm2dzPA

with all that speed according to madden they would be very hard to play against.

People are going to be sorely disappointed when Chris Johnson doesn't break 1,500 this year. No frakkin' way he's a 99 overall back. Great season notwithstanding.

Ya, their stats are close, but Willis had a better season last year to give him a 3 point higher rating over Beason. Beason only beat Willis in 2 categories last season, int return yards and int return yard average, both of which don't matter. Willis also has better career stats, enough to give him a 3 point higher rating than Beason.

# 117 packabacka19 @ 06/23/10 02:11 AM
1 - Nick Collins is one of the fastest players in the NFL, and has 89 speed. Great job EA.

2 - I love Jermichael Finley, but how the hell does he have 85 speed? Speed is not his game! He's all about elite body control. EA just sees a receiving TE and assumes he's really fast. Shows how much they know about football.

# 118 ajgoodfella7 @ 06/23/10 02:41 AM
I think that the reason Roethlisberger is not rated is because he will likely have to be added via roster update since he won't be on the NFL rosters for at least the first 4 weeks.

doesn't mean Beason is just an above average player...no he deserves his due.......but...imo...its just that from what I've seen, Willis should be considered the better player in videogames and in real life.
Exactly.

In no way shape or form is Romo and Schaub better than Big Ben. That is just ridiculous.
