This is the first time I'm seeing it. I'm stunned, too

WOW!!!..... the commentary and halftime show is amazing!..... its as though im watching a real game on tv... i honestly think they've reached a point where you cant tell thats its a video game that you're playing.... this game is worth more than $60.00, it should be at least $150.00 but im sure they care about us so much that they decided to accept a loss so that we could enjoy such an amazing game.... GREAT JOB EA!

i just dont understand why in head to head games they put both play call screens together in the middle of the screen.

not only does it totally block all of the cut scenes, but it makes it so easy to pick your play and see the plays you opponent is looking at as well.

The play call screens should be vertical on the far left, and far right..

Wait a second... I need to correct my previous post. I do remember now. At the time I just thought it was something still being worked on so I didn't think anything of it. I just figured it was Alpha stage stuff.

If that is what the final is going to be, well, that's just sad. They could've at least been creative with it... make a video room to choose highlights. Or do something where you pick the highlights and they get extracted directly from the game with Gus's commentary... something... anything... what I see right now just looks dead.

The whole playcall setup, I just don't know how this got messed up. If there was no post-play and no cut scenes it wouldn't matter, but unfortunately there are and the playcall screens cover them up, unless you have GameFlow on, but then the downside there is that if you don't pick your play in so many seconds the CPU picks it. So you can be engrossed in watching a celebration and then suddenly a play is called by the CPU that you didn't want to happen.

I hear ya. If this is it, sad is indeed the case. For the first time in years NCAA seems a bit "alive" and not stale and boring. Madden needs to get to that point too, or else it will be hard for me to continue to play it for any significant length of time after release.

You're delusional. They only have one month before the game goes gold. Do you really think they're going to change the game that much?

Only thing that's going to be done at this point is minor gameplay tweaks, bug fixes, and things of that nature. You're pretty much looking at what you're going to get in a month and a half.

Kinda dissapointed with the halftime show, but I'm pleasantly surprised with the gameplay in that video. The run-blocking looks a lot better, as when AP followed his blocks, he made some great runs. On the sweep play to the left, he outran his blockers and lost some yardage. And on one play the Seahawks just knew the run was coming and exploited a hole in the offensive line. Those players were supposed to be unblocked I think, so it looked very good.

Also, that play action play was beautiful. All the line backers fell for it, and then turned and tried to recover but it was too late.

Another thing is that the catching looks awesome. Percy Harvin's dive over the middle was great.

Two steps forward and two steps back. Our half time show has regressed back to Madden 09. I love it. This is why 2k5 will always be leaps and bounds better than Madden. They just don't get it.

Really like the replays. I wish NCAA had these angles.

I was impressed by the gameplay except for the McNabb throws under pressure. He gets hit and still throws across the hashes and 40yds downfield to a streaking Devin Thomas.

Helmets are WAY TOO SHINY.

They look like they are polished after every play.

The half time show video was the worst half time presentation I have ever seen attempted in modern gaming. After so many years it becomes obvious that the Madden team either A) has zero talent, or B) just doesnt care.

This series has gone nothing but in reverse since the PS2 / Xbox days. What used to be a flagship game has regressed into shareware.

NCAA is shaping up to be quite good this year, but Madden needs new people to take over the game. Its obvious the current team is not making any significant strides from year to year.

I thought the half time show was great... i didnt like the one from the other game of 5 or 6 years ago on the last gen systems.. i mean seriously what tv broadcast team shows highlights of other games and commentates on highlights of games in a halftime show?

On a side note, in every interview I've seen with Ian he seems less than excited to be talking about the game, apathetic even...like he's just jumping through hoops.
Yes it can. If it's broke take it out. I doubt they have time to fix it but I sure hope they do. I completely agree with you on Ian in interviews. I think his hands are tied this year. Wish I was as excited for this game like I was last year for Madden 10. Oh well, as I say every year..guess there's always next year.

Same here. What happened to the throws being affected by getting hit? Hopefully this isn't the way it stays... Not only is it unrealistic but it looks stupid.

Other than that I'm liking what I see.
