Finally, a decent sized recording of a game. The option too.

As mentioned in the video, they are playing the game on default, and it seems very fast.

The fast game speed seems to be causing the player sliding that is noticed in the vid's.

I hope lowering the Speed Slider will help limit the sliding and make the field seem larger by slowing the player's down, because the option play to the wide side runs out of field way too fast.

Also, until they include chop/cut blocks, the option will not look/run as it should, because the option scheme does not utiilize the normal blocking technique of other Offensive schemes. It's about cutting Def player's legs to create path's or lanes. (Just my 2 cents about the option offense)

Can't wait for some college football.

You can see progressive lighting change between the 1st and 2nd quarters.

I believe that one of the devs explained the sliding in one of the threads, but I cannot remember which one.

Edit: Man the triple option is not a strength of the people playing is it?

The sliding in the last video was horrible. The replay on the wr end around looked ridiculous in terms of the amount of sliding.

I am sorry to be this far into this gen and still have that bad of sliding is mind boggling. Sliding was never really a problem on last gen NCAA's.

what's the dev. explanation for sliding?

Wait I'm kind of confused, I thought that they said that protak/gang tackling ala Madden 10 would be in this, but I've yet to see it in any videos.

So I guess it isn't in after all?

if i remember correctly i think they said that when the user initially get the ball it's undetermined which way you are going to move your player, hence the sliding.

What confuses me about the amount of sliding, is I thought that would have been one of the things that Locomotion would have fixed. Apparently that is not the case.

^^^If that is their explanation, than why did the sliding on that wr end around occur well after the user initially got the ball? Not sure I buy that.

the good news is, it's less than a small issue so unless you're just looking to complain for complaining sake, we can all move forward now and enjoy what's going to be an outstanding year of college football.

Small issue for some. Doesn't mean that is the case for everybody else.

But you know what forget about any issues the game may have, wouldn't want to complain just for complaining sake.

totally agree. i'm just fortunate enough not to notice it. but then again when i play, i seem to get pressure on the cpu qb with my front 4 too.

either way, to me, the game shines.

I don't think I saw a single new option play. Granted I didn't see the whole playbook in those vids, but it looked like the same option playbook as last year. I thought we were supposed to get new misdirection plays for the option game

It had to do with control. I can't remember what thread it was in though. I looked for awhile and couldn't find it.

I noticed that the replay was actually broken on that WR Sweep though which added to the the effect that he was sliding. Watch how the Army defender glitches towards him on the replay, then watch in regular motion. It makes it appear as though there in way more sliding than there actually was. I hope when you go into replay mode it doesn't make a lot of plays look like this or else I get the feeling the guys who make their videos are going to eat NCAA up this year even though that actually wouldn't be what happened on the play.

Yup, found it from one of the ncaa blogs

Hey, I wasn’t going to tell you guys about this but Anthony White (our playbook guy) even added some misdirection plays this year so it’s even harder for a user to predict where the play is going. You know the Option is all about deception and misdirection.
Hopefully whoever was controlling just didn't scroll through enough to see the misdirection plays or I just plain missed them
