NBA 2K11 News Post

Gamespot has posted their first look at NBA 2K11 .

Quote:
"We didn't get hands-on of 2K11 today, but we did see the game in action and listen to 2K Sports' Rob Jones explain some of the tweaks his team has made to the game--changes and improvements that look to cover nearly every aspect of the game. A new presentation style will incorporate even more broadcast elements to the look of 2K11--in fact, Jones said, 2K has enlisted the help of a television producer to bring a more polished and professional sheen to the game's pre-game intros, camera angles, and graphics. Couple that with the returning NBA Today features and you've got an NBA 2K game that's slick and attractive from the tip off to the final whistle.Graphical enhancements aren't just for the presentation--the actual players and arenas will see improvements in 2K11 thanks to improvements to player models, jerseys, and more.

Of course, graphics are only part of 2K's battle for hoops supremacy this year. The team is also working on giving 2K11 players more control over the action on the court than ever before. When talking about goals for 2K11's gameplay, Jones hearkens back to earlier entries in the NBA 2K series, like NBA 2K7 and NBA 2K8; games which, according to him, played more intuitively than perhaps the series has seen in recent years."

Well, i am glad they mentioned going back to the control being "intuitive" like 2K7. I think they need to overhaul the entire 2k8-2k10 gameplay system and start from scratch based on the 2k7 engine. If they can do that.....i will cry!! I really hope 2k11 is going to bring back the control responsiveness of 2k7 and make this game the best bar none basketball in the world. If you're going to sign Michael Jordan and use him as your cover man, there is no one better to motivate you to create the best basketball game in the world. MJ is the BEST...so should NBA2k11.

Also NBA2k7 take skills to make shot because every player shoot differently and time release the ball differently. Even at FREE THROW line, it takes skills to make shot. NOT SO in 2k8-2k10....so i am here to say please please bring skills and competition back to 2k series. I don't want to see an automatic almost guaranteed made shot every single time someone is wide open. It STILL going to take skills by the USER who play the game. The user need to remember how each individual shoot and when to release the ball because each player release the ball differently. This will eliminate the non-skill factor in the game.
