NCAA Football 11 News Post

Pastapadre has just posted most of the team ratings for NCAA Football 11. He has already mentioned that he missed a few, I'm guessing someone at E3 can fill those in.

I know I am a Miami fan, but Wisconsin barely won a game where they were playing good and Miami was terrible. Miami flat out had one of their worst games of the year. Wisconsin was a part of that, but when Jacory was missing players left and right even when not pressured, and then when he did hit them they dropped it, its sad. Wisconsin should have blown us out. They were playing great and Miami had their worst game outside the VT game. I know its over and done with, but had Miami played decent, they would have most likely won. But that day, they were not meant to win.

I'm just wondering how some teams, like Army for instance, are rated C and C+ on offense and defense, yet are rated D overall. How does that work? Are their special teams that bad??? LOL

I'm a Penn State fan and we are rated way too high on offense. We have a new inexperienced QB this year and not that great of a WR group. How did we get an A on offense? Our Offense should be a B at best maybe a B+ because of Rosyter and our running game.

We shouldn't be any higher then a B+ this year overall

Awful like usual.

Air Force Falcons is not in the game??????

Like others have stated, crap crap crap.
Speaking for Nebraska (most familiar with them of course) B- at best for offense. They could play to an A level by years end as the O-line was beyond banged up last year as was Lee at QB and Helu and Burkhead at RB, but B- would be legit for a start. Defense should be A to A-. Lost Suh, Dillard and safeties, but D-line should still be very solid, and d backs are the deepest in quite some time.

If these ratings are off of what I saw on the teambuilder site, it explains a lot. And people will have to change a TON for their teams that they are familiar with. I think this will make finding a roster to download that is fairly accurate and fair for most teams a complete pain in the ***.

They couldn't catch all of the ratings. Notice how the BCS Champ, Alabama is missing also.

Same. I can tell you for a fact that overall, Army should be rated a C, at least. There is no way in hell they should be a D+. They were a C on offense last year and a D on defense, and rated a D+ last year overall. This year, their defense is a C+ and offense a C (which has improved, but is still a C? Beats me), but they are still a D+.

I mean, when EA Sports can't even get ratings right, I don't know what to think.

A few gripes with the ratings..
Boise an A+ on offense?? Isn't this the offense that lit up Alaska and got shut down by Oregon and TCU? It was Boise's DEFENSE that won them those two games, and of course they get a B+. An A- on offense and A- on defense should be realistic..
Miami an A on offense? I've been reading previews saying that Miami's strength is their defense..
Nebraska has an A- on offense and a B+ on defense. Please switch that.
Oklahoma State has exacly the same ratings as Nebraska. Wow.
Penn State an A on offense. I know Royster's a monster but breaking in a freshman QB should not receive an A.
TCU an A on offense. Once again, they lit up New Mexico but got shut down @ Clemson and vs Boise..
USC an A on offense. OK, I'm even going to be realistic and say it should be an A-.
Washington is the same as Nebraska.. oh boy.

Just stating what I think of the ratings. I'm sure tweaking the rosters will fix this.

Lol @ Nebraska's Offense better than our Defense.

We had a top 2 defense in 3 or more categories last year, and we return both starting CBs, 2 of 3 starting LBs and 2 of 4 starting DL.

Our defense should be a solid A, with the defense at a B+ at best.

These ratings are wacked.

I can already tell you Alabamas, Offense: A+ Defense: A- Overall: A-

It will be all A's im sure since we'll be number 1 ranked.

# 53 Bloppy @ 06/17/10 01:56 PM
Hahaha, Tech is B+, B+, B+. We should be A- to A+ offense, B- at the highest on defense. B+ is way too generous. C+ is probably more accurate. Which should make us about the same B+ overall. Whatever. Haumiller is an FSU fan. I shouldn't expect different. lol

# 54 BAMAJD @ 06/17/10 01:58 PM
FSU dosn't have all A's for the first time in history.

# 55 Krodis @ 06/17/10 02:10 PM
UNC should really be more like a C on offense, to be honest.

I don't trust TJ Yates. At all.

very true. thank you. they are a well built team along the oline. and they passed to pretty much only the tight ends and got it done. i like the coaching adjustment from randy shannon there

I know they went 9-4 last year, but 3 of those wins were against Div. 2 schools, and they were awful in the Big East. Oregon State and Oregon should not have identical ratings..they clearly aren't equally talented. Purdue should not be ranked that high...they were 5-7 last year. I think Navy deserves a little more credit than their C+ average. Everything else is passable, but the ones I mentioned are pretty off.
wisconson is a very good team.
UNC has the best defense in college football. I can see them being ranked high.
Rugters went 9-4 with a freshman quarterback and their best position player was a freshman. you are right in my opion on everything else. Also, these comments are just my opinion on the teams which have the same chance of being right as yours haha

EA...
you people do not understand football
you got Boise State with an A-
that's the same as Florida!!!!
you're putting Boise's 3 stars in the same class as Florida's 5 stars
Oh, and ALABAMA'S MISSING!!!!

# 59 DJncsu13 @ 06/17/10 07:03 PM
I can't believe UNC and NC State both got B's for Offense. UNC's offense is TERRIBLE. Yates is a joke of a QB (as most UNC fans will agree). NC State on the other hand has a first team All ACC QB, a first team All WR, First team All ACC TE. What a joke.
