looked alright, kicking looks really tough again this year :P

but common, they have got to be kidding us about the QB "rollout" slide...that's just such an eyesore, I've seen it in so many of the clips now. I can't understand how something like that goes untouched.

I liked Boldin's move though, looked alot better and he actually challenged the corner for the ball too. Good job madden.

But seriously that slide is really hurting me right now.

Commentary is really hurting too, nothing pre play, nothing at the start of the play, it doesn't flow at all. Especially the Boldin TD, "comes down with it....touchdown" was 3 seconds too slow, sounds nit picky but it just doesn't sound right.

Maybe this is stretching it, but that felt to me like how in real life when there's a sideline catch in the endzone and the commentator is unsure if he got his feet in so he kind of waits a few seconds for the signal before yelling touchdown.

Man way to big of a screen to watch on here. Better off double click on the video and watching it from youtube.

But the things I like so far from this video.

1. I like how the WR goes up for the ball finally.
2 The run blocking looks better then madden 10.
3. Not enough to go on here. But those few cut scenes looks good.

The not so good about the video.

1. Still some laggyness in the game just like in the ncaa 11 demo. Can be overlooked.

2. You tell this was played on rookie or pro settings. Because vince young got of the pocket way to easy and the WRs getting open to easy.

3 The pass blocking still don't look good enough. It breaks down to quickly agaist the AI D.
4. I'm still concerned that the human D pass rush ain't there. It seems to be same as last year. I really wish they would of made the D a little more aggressive according to their ratings.

But overall I think it looks good and very promising this year. Still would love some longer video footage to get a better feel for the gameplay. But this is good for now. Thanks for putting up this video bro.

Ya I know what you mean, I tried to feel the same way about it, but I can't, imo it wasn't debatable enough to warrant that delay. In addition the scaife catch all that was said the entire play was

"Goes through his progressions............knocked out of bounds......at the fifteen"

should play something like

"Young under center, rolls out, hits scaife wide open, knocked out of bounds at the fifteen"

It sounded so promising when they got rid of Hammond.

I agree. You really can't expect the commentator just to say TD before it happens. I think it sounds good. Despite trying to here it from over the crowd of people in the back ground. But gus is sounding good.

Even if that were the case, he should say "comes down with it" AS boldin catches it...and then delay the TD call...I'm sorry fellas I can't agree with you on this one, it's too detached

Also those are the only two pieces of audio on that play.

Well thing is about been Heisman settings in ncaa 11 is that the AI is way to powerful. Don't get me wrong and all. I want a challenge from the AI. But I don't want the AI int me everytime it gets a chance are mirror imaging my routes to death. I want to see my WR fake out CBs that have low ratings in awareness and all that. But that's the problem been on Heisman. The AI is doing Superhuman things in the game that is unreal. Hopefully in madden 11 that is different on all pro and all madden settings.

No i mean my WR are getting open. The game as a whole just feels too easy on Heisman.

They are different games though so im just hoping Madden isn't the same.

My only problem with the higher level settings is the AI is way to agressive and makes every int and runs every route the WR does before the WR does it. The AI CB never seems to get juke are fake out when it on higher levels like all pro and all madden. Unless it is a underneath route or the slot WR gets open. Besides that the AI DB seems to run the same route the WR does without even been fake out sometime. I just wonder sometime if the ratings matter when it is on higher settings.

Why settle? I mean if its just ok, Im positive you can find a better game , The Show,GoW3,K2,R2,Infamous,Mod Nation Racers,Red Dead Redemption ,Prince of Persia,There are plenty of games out there.I Decided not to settle and bought the Show and am very happy with my decision.

The running animation is awful still, look how the heads are seemingly locked in Y space.
After backbreaker you know how animations can look. Madden is stale. They would need some competetion again from 2K to improve.

They have the graphics and it looks great... Gameplay looks alright... Can't tell until we actually play the game tho... But I can't put my finger on it,,, It just feels bland watching that... I just rebought 2k5 ps2 and commentary is amazing... Whether you like those voices or not, The flow is great

# 16 STLRams @ 06/16/10 09:17 AM
The game does look improved, I liked how the replays looked alot smoother this year and are not short replays like Madden10, also it seemed liked the replays keep showing even when the playbook screen came up which is a nice touch. I didn't like how easliy V.Young ran out that pocket and he and some other players did run like they are skating. It was a interesting video, not alot I disliked about it, can't wait to see more. Now the one thing im curious about is during replays will we finally get some multiple camera angle replay, not just replays being shown from just one or two views, we need atleast 6 or 7 different multiple views when that auto replay kicks in.

# 17 RGiles36 @ 06/16/10 09:37 AM
The gameplay is noticeably smoother in my opinion and doesn't look as frantic as in years past. I hope someone comes through with more than 1-2 minute clips.

It's starting to become apparent that it's part of EA's marketing campaign to not really showcase their football games but rather let the demos speak for themselves (NCAA for example). If that's the case, I don't expect to see much more footage of Madden then we had pre-E3 .

# 18 spankdatazz22 @ 06/16/10 09:43 AM
Looked okay. I'd expect improvement; the question is how much improvement versus what was needed to be done. Hard to gauge during the short gameplay quip. Players don't seem to be noticeably sliding as much as in the NCAA demo. Unfortunately defense still seems like a prop; never see defenders making appropriate penetration/winning battles. They are way overdue for paying equal attention to the defensive side of the ball, it's past being a joke at this point. Still looks like lots of one-on-one player interaction, not much seems very organic.

Presentation wise their Ray Lewis dance still looks bad; cool that there are lots of replays but like NCAA, bad they're trying to do some super-close "Tiburon view" - really don't like it. From what I heard of the commentary, it's going to be poorly implemented again this year. For all the crap Ortiz got for his sexy player models comment, the "new" team makes sure not to miss on the core graphics year after year which look sharp overall. But would prefer they had less fidelity on the players on the field and used those resources to build up the sidelines and crowd in realtime

# 19 ODogg @ 06/16/10 09:46 AM
I disagree, you are looking at the players all game, not the sidelines and crowd. I'd prefer they all be done great but if given the choice I think EA is making the right choice by investing the resources into the actual on-field players.

I feel the same way. I would of thought that we would have had some gamefootage from madden fans on youtube who visited E3. I guess EA didn't allow them to do it this year. Crossing fingers for more footage then this.
