UFC Undisputed 2010 News Post

Tank and the UFC Undisputed 2010 dev team have just posted another patch update.

Quote:
"First off, the DLC issues with pre-order fighters not appearing seems to be resolved. From our testing on our end, we are not seeing this issue anymore. If you had pre-order DLC fighters, and they vanished from your roster today and still are not there, please leave your GamerTag or PSN ID and any general info (like your pre-order retailer) in this thread.

Second, I wanted to give you a patch update on behalf of the dev team before the weekend.

Since launch, the dev team has been working tirelessly on the myriad of hot button issues I've addressed in previous posts. They are currently creating a patch with Yukes, Gamespy, Sony, and MSFT. A few standout recent updates from the latest patch process:
  • Ranked online issues have been fixed and connectivity is still being worked on for both XBOX 360 and PS3
  • Super CAF's are absolutely being addressed
  • Automatic takedown moves are being adjusted so they no long impact the match significantly
Those are some of the heavy hitter issues the dev team has fixed in our patch branch, not live yet of course. They are also working on a bunch of other fixes, the ones above are the clear major standouts however."

Just fix the easy knockouts and submission issues and I'll be ok.

Thanks for the post Steve, you beat me to it. I was in an all-day meeting with the UFC team today, half of which was spent discussing the patch issues. They are definitely on the ball, in fact, most of the work is done, its just a matter of getting it QA'd and through the standard processes.

Will any of you guys be at E3 by any chance?

I am so glad they are doing this quickly but at the same time, they are only doing it because they see a huge drop off in numbers. So many of the impressions from the demo stopped people from buying the game. I find it hilarious that a developer said that KO's were not an issue, that omaplata isnt an exploit, and others things arent an issue. Now those things are being patched.

The community told the developers about the problems with the game and the developers told us they were not going to be issues...... Now they are scrabling to fix the issues they were told about before the release. Honestly I am glad THQ is feeling the hit in sales from not fixing what we told them would be issues before they released the game.

So Tank, will THQ listen to the community next time?

Edit: Just wanted to add I am one of those who bought the game and is waiting for a patch to really start playing the game.

No, this game shouldn't have had these problems in the first place.

That's a given. My post is in regards to them addressing the issues. Read some older threads and you will find some games never get fixed

I don't play online and I'm guessing they're going to take away copying your career guy into the CAF so unless the gameplay is severely changed for the better I won't be updating.

I entered the PS3 promotional code for the 4 UFC unlockable fighters. However, I can't locate any of the 4-7 players whatsoever. Does anyone know what weight class they're in? I'm assuming middleweight? My AIM SN is drf3elg00d (zeros in g00d). Feel free to write me at that sn whenever if you know how to solve this issue. Also, the PS3 online mode still contains major connectivity issues. Is a patch update supposed to be available for PSN this week?
