Anthony White has just posted another NCAA Football 11 blog. This one covers the one back offense.
Quote:
"Like the spread offense, a big point of emphasis for the one back offense is to control the number of defenders a defense can deploy to the box. As mentioned earlier, the one back offense is considered by many as the original spread offense. Many of the core principles of both systems are similar. As we pointed out with the spread offense, one back teams also want to use multiple receiver sets to spread the defense out. If the defense doesn't cover/align across from each receiver, the offense must be willing to throw the ball at any given point. This idea is known as "Throwing Uncovered". An offense that's willing to throw to an uncovered receiver at any given point on the field will force the defense to cover/align across from the offensive receivers."
That's it? Sure looks like they have only one feature left to announce. Hopefully it's coaching carousel or some kind of flexible conference expansion feature for dynasty mode. How sick would that be?
Meanwhile, tune in next week to find out about the run and shoot, should be a fascinating read.
The CD guys said there are a couple big features left and one of them is an NCAA exclusive. They might be waiting until E3 to reveal the big stuff.
I have to agree that was a pretty bare bones blog, more like something thrown out to feed the masses. Still though people were asking for a blog and they gave one. E3 needs to hurry up and get here.
I just want to know if the number of people in you can have in an online dynasty has expnaded at all.

Screw E3. The demo is out in 1.5 weeks! We'll get way more out of that than E3.
They mention "throwing uncovered" but don't give us any real gameplay information regarding it. If I line up in a spread One-Back set and my slot man is uncovered I'm going to assume my only option is to run head first into the blitz, or audible to a pass. And as soon as I audible, that LB is going to read my mind and shift to cover my slot WR.
*fart noise* Where is Dynasty Blog #3? Why the heck would they release Parts 1 and 2 within 12 hours of each other and then wait 3 weeks for #3? For all this time, it better be something fantastic, or else this would be a REAL letdown.
Hope they added the wildcat for Nebraska this year.
I've got a feeling Nebraska's offense will be terrible and not at all representative of real-life Nebraska's offense. It's a safe bet that we will be quite diverse, running heavy packages with several tight ends, running spread-esque packages out of shotgun and having a lot of wide receivers, running pro-style play action and running plays, etc. etc. etc.
120 ways to win huh? I've only heard of what..six or seven?

Because Part 3 is most likely a Coaching Carousel or they are waiting to do something for E3.
except for the holiday bowl though where that terrible offense suddenly could do whatever it wanted can't believe i went to that...
you nebraska fans though are definitely a classy bunch and i mean that in the sincerest way possible. not one fan i met rubbed it in while i waited for an hour to leave

Yes, Nebraska fans are very classy...until you start to beat them with regularity. When they first came down for a game in Austin, they were about as classy as they could get..a little old maybe, but the fans were great. Now, however, they really have some hate going on. It's easy to be classy when you're kicking everyone's ***, not so easy when you're on the other end. Can't blame them though...they were so good for so long and it's been an uphill battle to get back to being competitive with the big boys. Hopefully last season is a sign of things to come.
