UFC Undisputed 2010 News Post

When UFC Undisputed 2009 was released last year, MMA fans were thrilled to have the opportunity to fight as their favorite mixed martial artists.

According to an ESPN interview with UFC producer Neven Dravinski, the game outsold both NBA games combined as well as the MLB games. In simpler words, the game was a hit.

However, the popularity of the game did not absolve it from criticism. The fun within the game soon went away for many gamers due to the lack of depth in the game. Other complaints involved the career mode feeling repetitive, and unless you had a friend to play with, the matches quickly felt the same as the last one. But with UFC Undisputed 2010 coming out at the end of the month, fans are about to get a fresh dose of UFC action (and at least have a demo now to play in the interim).

Along with the new gameplay features comes a much deeper career mode. You will have the option to choose a fighter, there is over 100 on the roster, or create your own.
This is cool! I prefer to create my own, but I remember seeing a post where someone was saying they would like to have this option. Good news!

I like the idea of leagues, I wonder how well the leagues will work and how much detail they go in stat tracking and if they have championships or anything like that, or if its just some lame NCAA thing like "fight for your school" type thing where you just play towards your camp/leagues record instead of going at it with people in your camp/league towards a championship or something of that nature.

Yeah, at least that's how I interpreted it. That's what it sounds like.

I would think you'll still have to create your own guy, but I wasn't exactly sure since haven't followed this one too closely.

You can't play with the ufc guys in career mode.

I hope they do three separate online forums ... one only for real life players (those comming with the game), another for CAPS only and the other one that allows to compete with both ...That way they can apease hardcore sim fans and casual fans and avoid the nonesense of all mighty gods (maxed out caps) against normal players ...

Also, it would be nice if they create some sort of association or leagues ... were you choose a category and then a fighter and so does everyone until a minimum of 10 slots per category are granted ... more players can join as long as there are real life players to choose from and once started there is no minimum to avoid people from leaving and having to cancel the league (prones should also be considered) ... The two fighters that wins the most, face each other for the title belt ... afterwards, you need to be within the first three on the list to contend for it ...

while it doednt have the training, you oculd play title and title defense modes. You go through a bunch of fights.
