The world premiere trailer and first details for Madden NFL 11 this Thurs at midnight on Spike according to Geoff Keighley's twitter page. Looking forward to it.
It's going to be nice to see some footage of madden 11. Here is a link for anyone needing solid proof. http://twitter.com/geoffkeighley
Well, I mean, things like better presentation, stadium specific chants, better commentary, etc. don't seem like they made it in in such a short period of time. I guess I'll DVR it and see what gameplay looks like, but I'm not as excited as I was last year.
I'm pretty sure the Madden 10 world premiere video came out around this same time or earlier and look at all the things they added in that game.
They've been working on 11 since before 10 released, so that seems like enough time to get that in to me.
But remember this is just like the trailer we saw last year on spike. So don't expect a whole lot. But hopefully Jimmy Fallon will do another show with Ian this year and give us more footage of madden 11 like he did last year.
Good news, but I'll definitely be steering clear of this forum for about a week after that.
My guess that you want to avoid seeing people getting banned for going crazy over the clip of madden 11 I guess. People trying to breaking down the video and start complaining about it. Just making a guess!!

If I remember correctly, Ian said that he and his crew get a vacation period about a month before the release of Madden (July) and start to work on the next one around the release of the current year's version, which obviously has to be completed sometime around July of the following year. Subtract a month of brainstorming and round-table discussions and you have about 8 months of development time (Sept-April.) I'm not seeing how that's merely a roster update.
I'm sure Madden 11 is much further along than we are (information wise.) Otherwise the game won't be complete anywhere near July.
That trailer is gonna be dissected like a frog in Biology.
Yep I'm very sure it will. Considering alot of people want to know every little new detail that is in this year madden. But that ain't a bad thing neither. People just want know what to expect this coming year and all. But I would not expect to much to be reveiled in this trailer. I think most people are mainly hoping for them to show real time video clip of madden 11 to show off the new locomotion engine they put in. But who knows!! It's a wait and see game.

Agreed.
Good news but, I expect disaster(because, it will probably look like that) after the trailer gets played just like last year. I doubt it'll be impressive but, I'll be looking forward to it.
Just the way the players move should be a big thing to look for.....hopefully they won't have have that "on ice" look to them
I also hope to see some good transitional animations and proper foot planting
I'm sure people are expecting to see locomotion in action in this short trailer. But people got to remember that this small trailer is just alpha build and all. So people need to know what they see in this trailer is not the final version. Things are still been tuned and fixed. But since this trailer is done by the marketing department of EA and not by Ian. I'm sure the Marketing department is going to try and pour it on to make it look good. I just hope the marketing department don't over do it. But overall the trailer is a start and it is going to be nice to see footage of madden 11.
Reminds me of the comment made by Ian last year when he said he knew when we saw the trailer that OS was going to flip out because it was some nasty things in there
