I'm liking the new animations that really improve the off board controls, as well as the bails. The darkslides are great too, as they give the game a new aesthetic.

The city, what little was shown, seems pretty lame. It feels like a skate park rather than a city. That's the one thing that could elevate this series into another realm, to have an actual city where you had to be creative, instead of having all your lines handed to you in such an obvious manner.

At this point I'm pretty much counting on the create-a-park feature to really be the thing that gets me into this game.
There is a glitch in the demo that allows you to get out of the map.

Also by watching some of the videos that EA has posted, it seems there will be a city as well.

Any more impressions on the difficulty levels? After playing skate 1 and 2 I never could get manuals consistently, does playing on an easier level help with those? I would get so frustrated with the challenges that required mannys.

Manuals are probably the one thing I think they should actually make harder in this game. They are far too easy IMO.

Anyone else pick this up. I just got my copy yesterday. I'm loving the new city and i found a nice surpise if anyone else on your friends list has the game. They'll show up on your game as a AI skater skating around the city. I have two guys on my friends list with it and I come across them sessioning parts of the city all the time. Its cool.

Still can't decide which control scheme i like better, the standard or hardcore, though i noticed its harder to score points in HC. Might just be me though.

My points are certainly lower in Hardcore because I can't grind rails with any speed whatsoever. However, I've been Killing the challenges on Hardcore (still haven't gotten my trophy even though I've killed over 80 of them), and when I get to a score challenge, I just do nollie trick 360s and don't even mess around with grinds. Those flip tricks get huge points.

Man i suck at creating skateparks. lol. Either that or its in my nature to never be satisifed with what i make. There's always something i think i can make better. lol

Still I can play this game for hours and not do anything. A lot like RDR.

Also i think i'm getting down grinds in hardcore.
