Sounds like locomotion really impressed them when they were there.

Hopefully it stays the same/gets better before release.

yeah it sounds like locomotion might be successful! i liked what i heard when they were talking about the MLB not being able to stop on a dime and swith directions

Really like the sound of momentum. Sounds alot like 2K. Get out of position and you’re pretty much out of the play. This will force players to play smart and cut back on the BS defensive plays. Locomotion sounds a little cheesy hopefully EA doesn’t over do it like they normally do.

Locomotion is going to answer alot of gameplay answers. Not all of them but a great start in rebuilding better gameplay...Sounds like no more blitz cheesing online according to the new momentum. LOVE IT

This sounds really good, but I don't want to get my hopes up.

Man this game is shaping up to be a good one i hope the days of running full speed with a cornerback and turning around on a dime and jumping 30 feet in the air is gone

Man this sounds so good. I'm so happy they are fixing the gameplay with this locomotion system.

We could be on the verge of a very, very good game here.

Thanks for posting, great stuff.

LOL I started the 41 page Dread thread under my friends account haha, but this is great news I hate playing someone who plays w/ the safeties or LBs and have them bite on a play fake only to get back into positions. IRL one false step could mean a huge play. I love this news. I just want dreads also haha

Very good news. Thanks for the sharing the podcast.

Shaping up more and more with each passing week. I can't wait to get my hands on it to feel and see the differences.

The one thing that immediately hit you when you went from the PS2 version to the PS3 version was the lack of player momentum. I missed that from the PS2 and the locomotion talk is good news.

I find it interesting that they said playing with a MLB will be harder because of it. I think the opposite may be true. I find playing pass defense on the PS3 almost impossible due to the cut-on-a-dime physics by offensive players. Combine that with twitchy controls and fast passing speeds and I rarely got any user picks. I was much more successful on the PS2 playing as a safety or LB as I could use momentum to make more plays, not less. Maybe you can't cover as much ground but you can cover the areas you are responsible for better. Definitely looking forward to this.

Sounds like a great foundation for rebuilding the series.

I just can't wait to see how the game "feels". I hope it brings back the feeling of last gen, with better and more animations. If this game can get the presentation right(which I highly doubt), it will be really nice. It already has the look down.

On the other hand, I they're answering gameplay problems, but I wish they could do something to help the offense when our online opponent drops back 10 guys in coverage, and they're still able to stop power running formations! Has anyone experienced this online?
B.S. right?
I know what you mean. Maybe they should limit the amount of players we can hot route or something of that matter.
