the press release is the "official" statement from EA(they release a news update on the NCAA 11 site not that long ago). the other thread was the ESPN.com article.

If there anybody actually surprised?

# 4 canes21 @ 04/08/10 08:22 PM
Yea, I knew EA would release their own article. I just completely forgot the other topic was from ESPN.com. Still, as a topic overall, it's late. As for releasing the article, I guess its on time.

I'm not surprised that Tebow will be on the cover. But I don't like the idea of him being on all of the platforms. I think Suh, McCoy, Gerhart, those guys, deserve some cover time. But oh well. Should have expected this.

Thats 3. ESPN presentation, Authentic Play Styles, and Locomotion. I really hope we get more than that though.

Yo, something we can agree on.

thats not really new though. that has been hinted at since the NCAA site got "updated" to NCAA 11. also Roy(the new Executive Producer) hinted at it in his introduction blog. http://ncaafootball.easports.com/blo...logId=blogid10

As much as I love to have AD mode I would gladly sacrifice it for better gameplay and presentation for NCAA 11. But I hope we do get another feature like coaching carousel to make Dynasty more realistic.

Yea, don't take it personal I've picked you out in two different topics. I just disagreed with you both times. Haha, we good? lol

So far, it seems we'll be getting new presentation and improved gameplay. locomotion + ESPN presentation = Best EA football game to date. If they added a Coaching Carousel and AD mode on top of what we know is in, then, boy, this game would never leave my box.

Considering Washington State runs the hurry-up type of offense, it will be interesting to see how they implemented this different to other schools.

So, we now know what 3 items from the potential features survey were selected for '11.

Why Tebow and not Suh. Suh is a better football player and would look like a monster on the cover. Meh, I guess I can live with it....

Yes I agree, why not a guy who was a stud defensive tackle over the first sophomore to ever win the Heisman and the only man ever to win two Maxwells. I realize a lot of people don't like Tebow for various reasons, but there is absolutely NO argument anybody can make for anybody other then MAYBE Colt McCoy (most wins by a starter) for the cover of the COLLEGE football game. This isn't NCAA Best Pro Prospect 11.

wanted to add this isn't directed ONLY at you as i saw it about 50 times in the other thread.

As long as he is not on all the versions I am fine. I am guessing he will be on the 360 version so hopefully that means someone else will be on the ps3 version.

In one way it is not surprising to hear that Tebow is a cover athlete because he was a great player. On the other hand, he is also hated by about 90% of college football fans. I honestly don't know of a single person, no family, friends, or co workers that actually like the guy. Personally I blame the media for so many people hating him: we all got sick of hearing about Timmy "Jesus is my uncle" Tebow.

If these were the only three they would have stretched out the announcements to late May; I'm cautiously optimistic there will be more. The Madden devs made mention of players spending way too much time at the play call screen compared to playing the game and they wanted that to change. That means the first one on the list is definitely in for Madden and likely NCAA.

Well, I guess you wont be fine, cause he's on all covers. That's what exclusive means.

Well, the ESPN presentation was a slip up. It hasn't been 'announced' yet.
