Madden NFL 11 News Post

Darelle Revis explains to ESPN's Jon Robinson, he wants more WR/DB interaction in Madden NFL 11.

Quote:
"And while strategy might be a problem for the Jets corner in the ring, he's actually hoping for a more authentic way to play defensive back when it comes to "Madden NFL 11."

"They need to add more jamming at the line," he explains. "I want to see the off-hand jam, the two-hand jam, and more interaction between the receiver and the corner. I know it's a video game, but the way some of the interaction looks right now is a bit stiff. You want to make it as true to life as possible, and all of these things make a big difference when it comes to how the routes are run. I just want to see them make more of a difference in the game by making it easier for people to perform."

Maybe he should come in and do some mo-cap or whatever Its called and give them some more animations or something. If he wants it bad enough he can do it for free since he's already rich. We already know EA isn't going to pay the best NFL athletes to come in and do anything but, get there face scanned.

Good to hear an NFL player with some real feedback for once other than saying their rating needs to be better.

The most important person EA listen's to is money and you can definitely tell from their actions and comments lately. I know NFL players are busy but, in the off season If NFL players(Jones-Drew, Revis, etc) really want the game to be better then go in and help them fix it by giving feedback and performing in mo-cap or something.

Actions speak louder than words. Don't get me wrong though Revis is one of the few players I've read actually to say something useful. I wish more NFL players would say things at least close to this.

Well Revis is rated 99 so....ya he can't complain too much.

Maybe they should be rating more players 99...

If Revis is a hardcore Madden Gamer I am sure he would do it. Revis is unlike many NFL players and athletes in general. He is a quiet guy who doesnt speak so much to the media, doesnt talk trash about teamates or opponents. I have spoken to a few people who have met Revis at events and they all have said he is a great guy.

Who knows he might do animations for Madden, doubt it but its possible.

Yes, this is what I am talking about!!! Revis hit the nail on the head! And I can only hope that EA actually DOES something...THE RIGHT way about this. This man didn't mention the missing towel from his QB's waist.....he said Fix the WR/DB interaction because it is not right....and he is the BEST DB in the league! Let's make it happen EA

Why does EA care what Revis thinks? They are just going to ignore him anyway.

During the last year EA hasnt ignored or turned away many people. I wouldnt be surprised if they try and reach out to Revis, but then again I wouldnt be surprised if they listen to a guy who has no NFL experience.

I don't know if I agree with that. In an interview with MJD about winning the Madden Bowl this year, he said that he rode FB Dive all the way to victory. That's not the kind of Madden-player I want influencing the direction of Madden.

Someone's not gonna be a 99 overall anymore....

Agreed. And any football game where you can run one play the majority of the game and win, needs work. EA should have been embarrassed MJD won it like that. On point, Revis is on the mark. EA should take players ideas with a grain of salt, take Revis' with a whole shaker. Here's to Madden 11.

Jones-Drew is a known madden gamer and I've never heard/read of him going in and helping EA to make the game better. The only thing I've ever heard spew out of his mouth was that he would do the madden cover for free(on a commercial I think, not sure). I love me some Jones-Drew but, I don't think him or Revis will be that NFL star to go in for free(because, EA isn't paying) and help EA out with the core elements of the game.
