Simmed a couple home games. The average attendance in the budget area is fixed, so you'll no longer receive money after every franchise game like you sold it out even when you didn't. This is good, and bad, because I'm 200M behind most teams in my franchise that I am 30 games into, so I'll just be further behind now.
Minor league movement is still based on injuries and signings/releases. The trading block is not empty. Simmed through one season with one team and didn't have the CPU trade for my team. They did trade amongst themselves and also offer me some trades.
Currently downloading the new patch now. Anyone know if the Tropicana Field issues / freeze, has been fixed?
Nah, it still freezes. I just got to the 2nd inning and pressed select when I was at bat and it froze.
Something else happened that should be noted. So I was playing the Indians vs Rays (me) so the Indians were first to bat. After the top of the first inning, the computer took out Sizemore and Cabrera and subbed in LaPorta and Bixler as defensive substitutions. I'm trying the game again to see if it was a fluke or not.
*edit* Forget about what I just said about the subbing issue. Found out the roster update had Sizemore and Cabrera's positions switched around.
I've asked a few other places, and I'll do it again here. With patch #2, is the Trop freeze fixed? If not, I obviously cant hit the select button. Is there another way in game to view your batter (or CPU batters) hot/cold zones? I usually use the select button, but thats out. Thanks in advance.
I'm not thrilled with the fact that guys like Pujols get traded. I see your point that top players (Lee, Halladay etc) do get traded from time to time, but seems weird for the top guy (or at least top 3) to get moved.
Glad to hear trade waivers works.
Can anyone try a game in the Trop to see if thats fixed?
I think all those trades make sense...basically the Cards came to the decision that they could not afford Pujols so they went out and got something for him...this may happen in real life as well...now if I were the Cards I would have maybe gotten one more prospect...this is great news now...and as always you can still control 30 teams and simply set trades to manual if you want to approve of the trades first
For those wondering, still can't trade in offseason.
How about the following question? It's the issue I'm most curious about at this point.

It appears as though #2 just missed the cut. I suppose, we'll all have to wait for patch #3.
Why? I can see it as an issue for Rays fans and maybe guys who use teams in the AL East. Everyone else just don't hit select when you're playing at The Trop. Sure it's an annoyance but, it's far from a game killer, imho.

im just saying.....if they need someone to specialize in team specific stances or pitching delivery then i'd do it.....Doesn't make any sense to call urself the most realistic and authentic baseball game when you only upgrade 4 players a year (exaggeration) The Rockies could win the world series...AND have a cover athlete and they would still have there ace pitchers listed as generic 1...oh wait correction.... generic 3
Sounds good. Im only 9 games into my Yankees franchise so I haven't noticed any issues with regards to trades and didnt realize there was an issue with attendance to begin with. With that said, I wont restart my franchise. I will just download the patch and carry on with my current franchise.
I didn't have to restart my franchise last year so Im assuming that I won't have to do it again this year.

that has to do with the rosters, just go swap sizemore and cabrera, they have sizemore at SS by mistake

it doesn't matter if u hit select or not....it still freezes...it could be the 3 inning or the 8th inning.....point is if u start a game in the trop..ur not goin to finish it

Take it back and get 2K..I mean they have Longoria on the cover..and I am sure they do a much better job..Enjoy it and the rest of us will enjoy this game. Good luck

Is this just in franchise or not? I have played exhibition games in Tampa and they do not freeze at all without the patch
