Yeah that alone makes the game 10x better... the predictability of the first one was its downfall, especially when you were good at the game and playing someone else skilled. Having a wrestler who's able to reverse out of a bad position instead of just powering them off back to standing will be a great asset and will give the game so much more variety. Signature moves and strikes were in the game last year but barely, and that will add a ton to it as well.

Can't wait to see how it is. Is there a firm release date for this?

Instead of just knowing a guy is a wrestler and cannot fight off his back at all - you've got to know your opponent. As it is, when a guy is a wrestler, I just get them on their back and pound away knowing they can't really do anything but push me off or reverse if I make my transitions obvious.. Or standing up I worry about certain positions.

Now you've got to know what moves the other guy can pull off; and there could be a lot more strategy.

On the same token though (not for online) in '09 a guy could be thai/judo (my fav) or box/wrestler ...now it's all mixed so in a sense, everyone is just mixed for the most part. See what I'm saying...like in a way it could lead to just all around strategy all the time. They never should have shown ratings imo to begin with.

The key for online is simply to avoid spam while developing it.

so anyway, i'm very excited for a much better single player this time...i had fun with both last time around.

I will say at least Yukes/THQ is making it worth the yearly purchase with these kinds of improvements (at least on paper but I have no reason to doubt)
