we do, but its not because of this.

Anyways to the point at hand, I actually enjoy listening to the announcers. While I do enjoy the ambient sounds of the stadium, I like playing the game as if I was playing a game that is being broadcast on TV.

breathtaking video footage.. all sports games need to take a close look at the atmosphere this game pumps out..its what is so badly needed in "all other" sports videogames. Madden took a nice step towards that but madden dev's need to really put this game on their minds when implementing atmsophere and presentation for Madden11.

Im so GLAD i bought a ps3 finally..MLB10 The Show will have a great deal of my gaming time for months to come!!!

the new broadcast camera angle reminds me of the footage of Reggie Jackson's 3 homeruns in the playoff game (i think it was 77'?)

the fielding camera angle was the almost identical to this games.

October 18th, 1977.
My brothers 11th birthday.

I'm a Met fan....he's a Yankee fan.
Back to back years...'76 was Chambliss' homer.....then Reggie.

I think I remember him saying in a different thread that he plays every game. And wow.... that's over 1300 games if you made the playoffs even once!

I remember the Chambliss homer vividly.
I was in Astoria General Hospital where I almost died from loss of blood.(in the emergency room!....I had to watch my baseball....even at the point of dying!....they wheeled a tv in there for me once they got it me prepped for surgery...I was beggin'! )
Stupidly, I was fooling around in my house bouncing a basketball off the wall of my brothers bedroom.
It took a weird bounce....and hit a globe chandelier on the ceiling. I was reaching out to catch the ball and a huge shard of glass hit my arm....severing my artery.
Thankfully....my father had been working nights...so he was home.....tied a tourney around my arm.....grabbed my mother to drive us to the hospital(didn't wait for the ambulance) and saved my life.
The amount of blood coming out of me was insane!
(my poor mother...she nearly died of shock herself when I walked into the kitchen with that geyser shooting out of my arm!

Anyway....without further adieu....

YESS!

doesn't it look a lot like the broadcast camera?

Yeah, the lack of pitch speed on the scoring line caught my eye. I guess they expect you to view the speed on the strike zone locator while you're playing, but it kinda sucks that there's no apparent way to view the speed while watching the CPU. Not sure if they meant to take it off or if it was an accident they made while modifying the ticker.

On another note, since the stadiums were locked before it was pointed out, does that mean we're stuck with right center at Target Field being labeled 328 ft?

IMO, Commentary has never been The Shows strong suit. The game looks amazing though.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not sayin' the people that pick the game apart are wrong, but I just don't think this is the right time for mentioning such things. At least wait 'til after the demo drops, heh..
It's just a part of this new gaming "era"... people now complain about a game before it even comes out. I even fall into this category every now and then by putting my $0.02 in when it's a small issue.

you can bat in broadcast mode. Unless you're talking about not being successful at batting in broadcast mode, in which case, I agree 100%..as I can't hit from that view either.

# 120 rickypro @ 02/07/10 04:38 PM
At 4 minute mark when Inge was walking to first, he walks right through the first baseman. I thought they fixed that??
Even so, it looks great and I can't wait!
