How many PS3 owners really do look at 2k as an option?

Not the point, they have a license, they should represent it with the fullest of their abilities. The Show, should make them strive to be better in theory.

But I do think the financial situation is really hurting them. Just look at the NBA, sure it is the best game out, but they didn't do much from 2K9 to 2K10, some say it was buggier and worse. And with NBA Live gaining major ground, you think they would have "stepped up their game".

And we wont even talk about Hockey.

True, but it comes down to how much they want to make this game better.

I always give every game a chance, but as of now it doesn't have the edge.

I applaud you for that. Most PS3 owners don't even think about even renting mlb 2k. You'll never know how good a game is unless you play it. Videos and reviews/opinions won't do the game justice no matter what kind of game it is.

I'm also a PS3 owner that will give 2K a chance.
I'll rent both and then make my decision. I'm really hoping 2K has a good outing this year.

As an owner of a ps3 myself, i'm not too happy with the minor changes they made with the show. Fielding wasn't touch, so fielding is still like an RPG instead of having manual fielding. The show added lighting and things that are not major at all. The most important things were left untouched it seems for the show 10. At this point I hope 2k gives us a good game. I trully hope..

Art1, I am 100% with you on this. The show, although a fantastic game, dissapointed me with their "minor" upgrades thus far (still waiting for the fact sheet). If 2k can give us a solid baseball game, I will definitely give it a chance. The fact that SCEA did not implement Single A clubs really bummed me out. All in all, I just hope we get 2 solid baseball games this year.

my take...i didn't buy a ps3 to support sony, that happened indirectly. i bought the ps3 because baseball is the single most type of video game i play and i wanted options. i agree with the majority in saying mlb 09 the show is the best baseball game on the market, but just yesterday after a franchise game of mlb 09, i popped in mlb 2k7 (as i do quite often)...i really enjoy the game. i found a good set of sliders for mlb 2k7 and still play it quite often. i passed on 2k8, and 2k9...i hope 2k10 turns out for the better this year. i am one who hopes as much effort is being put towards the ps3 version of 2k10. but, the reality is...i'm a consumer, take two is a business..it's all about money and resource allocation...all i can do is hope.

I like what 2K attempted with NBA 2K10. It has some very impressive presentation and commentary. The major let down for me has been its online component. It just doesn't work. The game still plays a very nice representation of the sport though.

I'm actually ok with MLB 2K's engine. It just needs to be refined some, especially with CPU hitting and overall fielding. I'm just concerned that they may not be able to get it up to par. That's the thing about marketing. They should at least market something that shows they are proud of the product enough that they'll show off a quick glimpse. Rather, they settle for celebrity players.

Can we keep this thread on the trailer?

Thanks.
