PES 2010 News Post

While soccer has been the most popular sport in the world for a long time, it has yet to really take hold in the US. It has been a hit with youths but that interest seems to gradually wane with age. With the World Cup in 2010, English Premier League games on ESPN and a rising star in Jozy Altidore, the sport may gain a much larger audience in North America.

Simply put, Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 has already sold millions overseas. Now it’s time to take the battle to the place where football has a different meaning.

Probably the best place to start. And if you're on the PS3, you're looking for 'option files,' rather than patches.

As I just dont think I could ever play EA game ever again cause the PES gameplay is just amazing and realistic IMO .
Thanks again

Yes you can set it up. However, if your on the ps3 I believe 2 of the teams that are in the World Cup are not in the game unless one of the Option Files you get includes them. So worst case you have to replace 2 of the teams. Other than that yes you can set ot up.

Play by Play is ok. The presenation is good IMO but it just plays out as a cup so not sure if there is extra presentation per se.

I don't blame you. I don't think I will get the WC game either.

It's a decent game and looks very nice (I played the PC version) but there are 2 major flaws which prevent me from enjoying it.

1) The commentary is dire. I mean really, really terrible. It's on a par with the original International Superstar Soccer Pro game on the PSone (but at least that was so bad it was funny). So there's the commentary muted.

2) The crowd sound effects are, well, words can't describe how horrible they are. The constant, repetitive, unrealistic chanting gets irritating very quickly.

Of course, I could turn the sound off completely but if I wanted football games with no atmosphere I'd watch Eurosport.
