Skate 3 News Post

Eurogamer has posted their Skate 3 hands-on impressions.

Quote:
"It feels brilliant to play, and the game's enhanced by a welcome change in location. After the grim skateboarding crackdown of Skate 2, Black Box is leaving San Vanelona behind and beating it to the sunny, palm-tree ridden climes of Port Carverton, with its three districts covering University Hill, Downtown and Industrial. "It's a world where skateboarding is actually embraced," smiles DeLong."

Glad to hear that there is still a career mode component. Unfortunately, very few pro skaters actually skate on "teams" (they ride for sponsors' teams, but they don't do cooperative challenges), so this has the potential to jump the shark.

Still, the franchise is great, and there should be a lot of fun stuff, including the skatepark creator if done well. I played the last two games for literally countless hours -- the timer in each stopped after a certain point, likely because I played the hell out of it.

Probably my most anticipated game since... umm... Hawk: American Wasteland I guess.

I love skateboarding games.
