Love the atmosphere of the arenas in Live. You really get a sense that you're in a different arena, the lighting engine is a beast.
The colors also really pop, although i have to say i'm not a fan of the Celtics green in Live. It's a minor thing, but it is off like the reds in 2K. Not quite a rocket dunk in the video, and not a fan of that Wade dunk being blocked in the manner it was. Those clips (along with a bit of rebounding, bigs eurostepping, teammate AI and bigs doing athletic contact shot animations) are indicative of the largest issues I potentially would have with this game, but I'm fairly sure they can all be looked past in the context of the overall game.
Overall, the game looks great. I hope the early patch with the stuff like post up control, auto-switch to PG, and reduction of the bouncing celebration comes out before the season. If it is a launch day thing, i might just take 2K straight from the mailbox to the store and pick up Live with the store credit.
Definitely not a game killer. Only a fool would not take the chance when currently there's a Dev active on the board and take the advantage and ask for simple correction that makes the game much more authentic. Don't Hate, I have nothing to lose.
Anyway...
I think the vid was a great. It should some real good plays and the crowd reactions are outstanding. Def looking forward to seeing some more vids tomorrow and next coming days. I should be getting my copy or both games this weekend... Hopefully....
i have a question for the producers...first off i wanna say iam so glad live is back! you guys really did a hell of a job this year! one question..well 2.....first off do you guys have all star weekend? or the all-star game? and if so where is it? cause its in the new dallas cowboys stadium this year did that make it into the game? also in the dymanic season whats going to happen at the all-star break? great work agian guys!
Why no one complain when someone talked about shoe color at home and Stephon nicely gave an answer? Headband > shoe!!!
Logo placement on a headband is definitely not as important at what shoes the player is wearing. So your saying that a wrong headband logo placement on Lebron is more important than if he was wearing a pair of black shoes while the rest of his team is rocking white shoes?
I don't think so.
Back on topic,
The Lebron dribble drive and finish was absolutely flawless. Very Lebron-like. I also love how the lighting varies from arena to arena. It really adds another facet to this already beautiful game.
Video was nice. It kind of looked a bit more smoother then the demo though. They've said that them compressing may of cause some of our small problems so in 6 days I'll be excited to beat some of you guys online.
I had this conversation with my buddy about Live 10 and 2K10 today and since this is usually the time when my insomnia kicks in, I will post it here instead of creating a new thread.
We compared the two games to girls. 2K is the girl that you've been with for a while. She has some issues that been around for a while that you hoped that she would be able to change - but she hasn't. You don't care though, because you know the overall package is so damn fine. She also knows that she is sexy as hell.
Then one day at work/school this new girl comes in. She is the blueprint to what you could ever want, albeit a little rough around the edges. But you know she has some potential that a very a few select girls on this planet have. Some would say she is pretty, but she isn't quite as sexy as the girl you are with right now. However, this new girl wants you. She wants you to discover her for years to come because she'll only improve and grow with you.
That to me is 2K and Live this year. You can stay with your old girl or you can creep with the new one. Or better yet, maybe you can get everyone to get along.
DirtyJerz32 Said"I really wish they would patch the color ways & acc colors of the players. I like to do a fantasy draft and it throws off the visuals when all the players are wearing different color shoes. The other game did a great job with this. They added different shoes but, they gave you the default team colors. That way when players get traded in dynasty mode they wear the right colors.
I asked steph about this last year but, I guess it didn't make it into the game.
Here's what I'm talking about. Sorry to bring the other game into this thread but, I didn't want anyone to be confused about what I was talking about. "
The other game also did agreat job with the Headband logo on some player but not all so Why am I being make fun of when I ask for a mistake to be fix? Hypocrite
Nobody was making fun of you? Chillax man. We all want the same things. Great gameplay and all the extras. Make sure you know the facts before you start name calling.
That being said, I'm done with this converstion because it's not worth my time. Moving along...
Will there be a PS3 video? The PS3 demo had a bit of lag on rebounds (and other random moments) and I'm curious if this is fixed in the retail version...there is a past history of EA games performing 360 > PS3...
Only thing that bothered me was Bibby blocking Wade's dunk.
That's one thing that bothers me in the game which I haven't brought up: you can beat your man, be at the rim for a dunk, and you'll get the animation where your player pulls it behind his neck, exposing it for any player on the court to block.

Why was almost every move in the video by a human controlled player?
I'm thinking to myself finally we get the CPU put the rock on the floor and attack off the dribble and then it's all human controlled moves.
I'm tired of seeing the human player show off what he can do how about a 2-3 minute video of the CPU players LBJ, Wade, Kobe and Melo show casing their moves for once.

Great analogy. I couldn't agree more and I know which girl is which, too! And truth be told, this may be why I like Live 10, more because when it comes to women, I prefer #2 since I did learn the hard way with #1, in real life. Lol.
