Looks decent. If I was in the market for that type of title on the Wii I'd definitely look into it. I wonder if you have to be strict with your jumper timing or does it just require you to flick the remote.

Yea doesn't look too bad at all. Graphics and animation definitely look a step up from the PS2. Kudos to VC for putting forth the effort to bring a qualty NBA title to the Wii for the first time. I'm glad they didn't simply do a PS2 port as well, as Wii owners have have had to deal with that enough.
Yea that lebron dunk looked pretty sick.
As far as the flick to shoot, I'm sure they'll either go by percentages, or require you to pull back and flick forward with the proper timing. Seeing as people like shawn marion have very quick releases, I could see it getting pretty tricky in situations like that. Maybe they will give you a choice. There is however support for the classic controller, if you don't wanna deal with the motions and stuff.

i wonder if there are any shooting drills or stuff like that? actual in game playing might be secondary if there are fun drills.

i think 2k should try a new art style for the wii. not too exaggerated like madden but maybe a cel shaded but naturally illustrated approach to things could satisfy the eye

I think they've always done a good enough job with the art style. This is one of the reasons they'v been able to make such realistic looking basketball and football games (im looking at you NFL 2K5).
I really don't see a problem with the way it looks. The players look like themselves from what I've seen so far, the arenas and crowds look good, the courts are accurate, and the animations are spot on as always.

Good effort, it appears, for NBA 2K's first Wii showing. I could never play with those controls, though.
i've been a 2k fan since the NES, but this exactly the same as nba 2k9 to me. the logo on lebrons headband was off, players were wearing generic sneakers, it was a dunkfest. this might be the first year i won't be picking up a 2k basketball game.
all joking aside, it looked pretty neat. i think i saw some facial expressions too.

Wow, that looked pretty good for what the Wii could handle. Although I dont have nor would get it for this system personally. I saw Jason Terry with his knee-high socks, but they gotta give and take on that system.
