I'm trying to imagine what would happen if players still had that blank stare on their face regardless of the situation. People would be complaining. Like I said before, this will help the presentation. It's not just about pretty pictures, it's about immersion and for that I give them credit. If they didn't step up, I'd be complaining.

DC, pics can be appreciated homie only in regards to facial detail obviously and the detail in those pics is very good.
Pared you bring up an excellent point though, some of these look far too crisp to be captured from a console. The ones from August 25 are dramatically different. We wont know unitl October 6 I suppose as the demo may not confirm that.

I can see the definite refinement in the player models and faces over 2K9. This is going to be an amazing game.
pics look too crisp to b on consoles u say? heres an idea.. update frm SD to HD ..or go get contacts lol

I think the detail in the photos are great! That is what is making them stand out. Look at the little things to bring out the NBA in these shots! You have a highly detail cheerleader, some great crowd face and clothing details. I know they are copied but in variations, but the details are what set them apart. Also the creases in players faces and eye lines are remarkable.
I think Melo is a terrible model and Kobe's face is still off, mainly the mustache and his nose are completely wrong! The rest of him is fine. Plus his eyes are more Asian and slanted, they need to adjust that and he'll look perfect. Overall 2ksports improved a tad more where it matters.
