IGN has posted their season sim of the NFL's upcoming season, including videos of all the playoff matchups. Check out the Madden NFL 10 season preview, right here.

We've given you a week's worth of coverage thus far. We've talked about changes to offline franchise mode, discussed the new online co-op feature, revealed new Madden Moments, and revealed Elite Status and Online Franchise as well. Not only that, but we've provided direct-feed clips every step of the way. But now it's time to dive into the real thing. We've simulated the regular season on the previous two pages, but now it's playoff time. Winner stays; loser goes home. We've captured lengthy direct-feed gameplay footage of the final minutes of games in each round. Who's going to come out on top? Watch the clips to find out."

Commentary is downright painful to llisten to as well.....THIS IS THE SUPERBOWL!!!!! WTF!

IF Madden is to be the standard....they have alot further to go!

The graphics are best I've seen....animations are okay but I will reserve my full opinion on them until final build.

SuperBowl Celebration was decent...Loved the dancing and semi-presentation. More commentary is needed though!

IMO Hammond is the worst part about this game. He's just awful. Collinsworth isn't great by any means, but he seems like the king of commentary compared to Hammond. Seriously why does he not have any excitement ever? Next year Madden needs to do what NBA 2k10 is doing and change up the annoucing duo. Hopefully their's is better as well.

Guys did you notice in the Skins vs Packers video @ 0:40 Moss does a curl route. I saw 2 things both good and bad. But the good got me more excited! The DB covers Moss correctly by standing in front of Moss and in previous Maddens this was definitely someone you can NOT throw to. But not now!! He threw a jump ball up and behind the receiver!! And Moss jumped up and got it! It used to be you would throw it either a bullet or a lob and it would be right to the DB. Very nice Ian and team!!

However the bad was that the DB didn't even make an attempt to defend the pass. And the defender was looking right at the QB so he knew the pass was coming. Had nothing to do with attributes cuz I think the defender was Charles Woodson and his AWR should be pretty high as well as his cover skills.
So I take the good and I take the bad (and take them all and you got the facts of life) and the jump ball was HUGE. I hope the bad gets addressed as well.

so is the gamestop demo months old?

because these videos looked showed better graphics, little quicker game speed, and other little features missing from the demo.

one example is the cardinals nameplates on the jerseys are low quality and kinda fuzzy in the demo and here they look much more legible.

either way, i guess i gotta download the next demo on the 30th and see if its a newer build.

hmm one thing I don't like at ALL is Colts vs. Steelers @ 3:05 the TE doesn't go out of bounds to stop the clock. So the AI actually has an IQ of 7. The player had a chance to run out of bounds between the 27-30 yard line but was "fighting for every yard" so he stayed in bound and was tackled at the 25. But time expired!! Jeff Reed their kicker has a boot on him and he coulda possibly made it from the 27 yard line. There woulda been about 10 sec left on the clock if he went out of bounds giving time for 1 more quick out play to get another 5-10yds. But no chance... time expired and game over. This is something that needs to be fixed ASAP and cannot wait till next year or for a patch. This is something that should be in the gameplan of every football game.

did anybody else notice that Peyton Manning doesn't sound like the real Peyton Manning AT ALL???

Over last 2 years, the had original sounds from the real Manning (exactly like they do with a lot of QBs this year).

But why in god's holy name would they replace his voice with this crap?

I can only hope that this will get fixed, I don't want to bring my experience down to QB voices only, but as a big-time Colts fan it was always a much better experience hearing Peyton's real voice while I was audibling...

I'm assuming these videos confirm that you can control all teams and play any game you want in season/franchise mode.
It's always been like that, but you never know with EA's propensity to take out key elements.
Anyone know if it has been confirmed that you can still play any teams' games in season/franchise mode?

Did anyone notice the incomplete pass on 4th down in the Ravens/Chargers video? Incomplete to Gates and then the Chargers magically get a first down??

Ian said that it's already there but buggy. They are going to try to patch it and "unlock it" after the game's release.

Hammond may be the worst announcer in the history of sports games. He is just absolutely awful. We need a serious overhaul for next year, Hammond sounds like they woke him up at 5 AM to record the audio after he spent a night binge drinking.

And before I get screamed at for being a "noob" and bashing the game, I've lurked here for a while and every other post I've had here is defending the game. The demo is excellent and plays excellent.. I may honestly have to play with the announcers off.

I like Collinsworth, but Hammond is unbearable.
